David Lester Laut was an American shot putter. He was born in Findlay, Ohio, and grew up in Oxnard, California. Laut attended Art Haycox Elementary School, E. O. Green Junior High School, Santa Clara High School, Moorpark College, along with San Jose City College and UCLA, where he was a two-time NCAA champion and ranked No. 1 shot putter in the United States.
Slovenia first participated as an independent nation at the Olympic Games at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, and the country has sent athletes to compete at every Games since then. The Slovenian Olympic Committee was established in 1991 and was recognised by the International Olympic Committee on 5 February 1992.

Castello Cova, also known as Palazzo Viviani Cova is a landmark Neo-Gothic style residential and business building located on Via Giosuè Carducci #36, in central Milan, region of Lombardy, Italy. It is located some 100 meters west of the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio. The building was designed by architect Adolfo Coppedè. Adolfo's career is also noted for designing the Casa del Fascio in Signa, and he was never shy to indulge in the appropriation of former styles and symbols; this building notable for its height and accumulation of Gothic architecture motifs such as a merlionated tower, peaked and rusticated ground-floor arches, and mullion-windows. It sports numerous decorated balconies on the facade.

Angelo Ciccone is an Italian amateur road and track cyclist. He has claimed four Italian national championship titles in track cycling, and later represented his nation Italy in two editions of the Olympic Games. Ciccone currently races for the 2013 season with Cycling Team Friuli under his head coach Roberto Bressan.

The Houston SaberCats are an American professional rugby union team based in Houston, Texas. The team was founded in 2017 and competes in Major League Rugby, the top-level rugby union competition in the United States and Canada that played its first season in 2018. The SaberCats organization was born from one of the founding amateur rugby clubs that pooled resources to emerge professionally, and were the first in MLR membership to build a rugby-specific stadium intended for MLR competition.

Emerick K. Ishikawa was an American weightlifter from Hawaii. In 1944 he set a world record in the bantamweight class at the U.S. National Weightlifting Championships. He won Amateur Athletic Union championships as a bantamweight in 1944 and 1945, and as a featherweight in 1946 and 1947. In 1947 he also won a bronze medal in the featherweight class of the World Championships. He also competed in the men's featherweight event at the 1948 Summer Olympics.
