Vladimir Drobnjak (born 5 March 1956) is a Croatian diplomat who is the current Permanent Representative of Croatia to the United Nations,since 2013.
Born in Zagreb in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia,Drobnjak graduated from the University of Zagreb Law School. He worked as a radio and newspaper correspondent from 1986 until 1992,when he joined the foreign service. His first position was Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN in New York City. Since then Drobnjak held various posts regarding Croatia's relations with the European Union. From 2012 until 2013 he was the head of the Croatian mission to the EU and then the permanent representative of Croatia to the EU after it joined. In August 2013,he was appointed the Permanent Representative of Croatia to the UN. [1] In January 2014 Drobnjak became the Vice President of the UN Economic and Social Council. [2]
The Republic of Croatia is a sovereign country at the crossroads of Central Europe,Southeast Europe,and the Mediterranean that declared its independence from Yugoslavia on 25 June 1991. Croatia is a member of the European Union (EU),United Nations (UN),the Council of Europe,NATO,the World Trade Organization (WTO),Union for the Mediterranean and a number of other international organizations. Croatia has established diplomatic relations with 187 countries. The president and the Government,through the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs,co-operate in the formulation and implementation of foreign policy.
The United Nations Transitional Administration for Eastern Slavonia,Baranja and Western Sirmium (UNTAES) was a UN peacebuilding transitional administration in the Eastern Slavonia,Baranja and Western Syrmia in the eastern parts of Croatia. The transitional administration lasted between 1996 and 1998. It was also sometimes known as the United Nations Transitional Authority in Eastern Slavonia,Baranja and Western Sirmium. The transitional administration was formally established by the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1037 of January 15,1996. The transitional administration was envisaged and invited in the November 1995 Erdut Agreement between the Croatian Government and the representatives of the local Serb community in the region. At the time of UNTAES deployment the region already hosted another traditional type UN peacekeeping mission known as the UNCRO. While the region was covered under the UNCRO's sector east,the whole UNCRO mission was brought into question by the Operation Storm escalation of hostilities.
Vesna Pusić is a Croatian sociologist and politician who served as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs in the centre-left cabinet of Zoran Milanović. She was Croatia's second female Foreign Minister taking the office after Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. Katalin Annamária Bogyay is a Hungarian ambassador,diplomat,journalist and the President of the United Nations Association of Hungary since April 2021. She has been a lecturer at the Corvinus University of Budapest since 2022,and teaching at the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy since 2021. In 2021 she founded the Women4Diplomacy movement. She served as the 15th Permanent Representative of Hungary to the United Nations in New York. Sven Alkalaj is a Bosnian diplomat who has served as Bosnia and Herzegovina ambassador to the United States since June 2023. He previously served as the Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations from 2019 to 2023. Alkalaj also served as the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2007 until 2012. He held the post of executive secretary of UNECE between 2012 and 2014 as well.

Full diplomatic relations between Croatia and Israel were established on April 9,1997 following Croatia's independence from SFR Yugoslavia. Croatia has an embassy in Tel Aviv and honorary consulates in Ashdod,Caesarea,Jerusalem and Kfar Shmaryahu. Israel has an embassy in Zagreb. Relations between the two countries are described as friendly and highly cooperative. In recent years,Croatia and Israel intensified bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of defence and security. Croatia is one of the countries Israel occasionally turns to inside the EU to advocate on its behalf and it generally abstains or votes with Israel on key EU votes at the UN. Israeli president Reuven Rivlin described Croatia in 2019 as "Israel's strong ally in the EU,the UN and other multilateral organizations."
Croatia–Syria relations are bilateral relations between Croatia and the Syrian Arab Republic. Both countries established diplomatic relations on 29 August 1997. Croatia is represented in Syria through its embassy in Cairo in Egypt and an honorary consulate in Damascus. Syria is represented in Croatia through its embassy in Budapest,Hungary and an honorary consulate in Zagreb. Both countries are full members of the Union for the Mediterranean,although Syria suspended its membership in 2011.

Andrej Plenković;born 8 April 1970) is a Croatian politician who has been serving as the prime minister of Croatia since 19 October 2016. He was previously one of eleven Croatian members of the European Parliament,serving from Croatia's accession to the European Union in 2013 until his resignation as MEP when he took office as prime minister. Plenkovićhas also been serving as the president of the Croatian Democratic Union since 2016.
Dimiter Tzantchev is a European diplomat,Ambassador,Head of EU Delegation to the State of Israel. He joined the European external action service after a long and distinguished career in the Bulgarian diplomatic service. He was Bulgaria's Ambassador to the EU,the UN in Geneva and to Israel. Tzantchev was President of COREPER II - January 1 - June 30,2018 during the first ever Bulgarian rotational presidency of the Council of the EU. One of the longest serving Permanent Representatives to EU in Brussels he was also the Dean of COREPER II from August 2017 until September 2021.

The current Representative of Albania in the UN is Mr. Ferit Hoxha. Albania is a non-permanent member of the 15-country UN Security Council for the two-year term (2022–2023).
