<span class="mw-page-title-main">FIS Alpine Ski World Cup</span> Top international circuit of alpine skiing competitions

The FIS Alpine Ski World Cup is the top international circuit of alpine skiing competitions, launched in 1966 by a group of ski racing friends and experts which included French journalist Serge Lang and the alpine ski team directors from France and the USA. It was soon backed by International Ski Federation president Marc Hodler during the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 1966 at Portillo, Chile, and became an official FIS event in the spring of 1967 after the FIS Congress at Beirut, Lebanon.

The FIFA Women's World Rankings for football were introduced in 2003, with the first rankings published on 16 July of that year, as a follow-on to the existing Men's FIFA World Rankings. They attempt to compare the strength of internationally active women's national teams at any given time. As of the August 2022 update, the ranking has 185 national teams.

The Mexico women's national football team represents Mexico in international women's football. The team is governed by the Mexican Football Federation and competes within CONCACAF, the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football. It has won gold medals in the Central American and Caribbean Games and a silver medal in the Pan American Games, as well as a silver and bronze in the Women's World Cup prior to FIFA's recognition of the women's game. In addition to its senior team, Mexico also has U-20, U-17, and U-15 teams. The U-17 team reached the final of the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, and the U-15 cohort earned the bronze medal in the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.

The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup is the sport's oldest world championship, with the first tournament held in England in 1973. Matches are played as One Day Internationals (ODIs) over 50 overs per team, while there is also another championship for Twenty20 International cricket, the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

The United States Swimming National Championships are held annually, in summer. The event is organized by USA Swimming, and is held in a long course (50m) pool. In the past, and as recently as 2007, there were 2 meets annually: and Spring and Summer Nationals. The Spring meet began as a 25-yard meet, while the Summer meet was long course. Prior to USA Swimming's creation in the late 1970s, the meet was run by the AAU.

Football at the 1994 Asian Games was held in Hiroshima, Japan from 1 to 16 October 1994. The Asian Football Confederation suggested that only under-23 teams should be entered, which meant that all the players had to be born after January 1, 1971. But this was ignored by all participants except Saudi Arabia.

A referendum on the introduction of women's suffrage was held in Liechtenstein on 28 February 1971. Voting was restricted to men, and resulted in a majority against its introduction. Voter turnout was 85.6%. Following the referendum, some women demonstrated in Vaduz and other towns, booing male pedestrians and carrying signs bearing the slogan "Men of Liechtenstein: Where's your virility".

Two referendums were held in Liechtenstein in 1968. The first was held on 4 July on the question of introducing women's suffrage. Separate votes were held for men and women, with the men voting against, and women split almost equally, resulting in it being rejected by 54.5% of voters overall. The second referendum was held on 6 October on abolishing the tax on alcoholic drinks. It was rejected by 56.3% of voters.
