The Egyptian national basketball team is organized and run by the Egyptian Basketball Federation.
The Algeria women's national football team represents Algeria in international women's football. The team is currently ranked 76th in the world in the FIFA women's rankings. The team's highest ranking was 64th, in June 2009. The team plays its home games at the Stade du 5 Juillet in Algiers and is coached by Radia Fertoul since August 2018. Algeria played its first match on May 14, 1998, against France, and lost 14–0.

Great Britain competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, United Kingdom, from 29 August to 9 September 2012 as the host nation. A total of 288 athletes were selected to compete along with 13 other team members such as sighted guides. The country finished third in the medals table, behind China and Russia, winning 120 medals in total; 34 gold, 43 silver and 43 bronze. Multiple medallists included cyclist Sarah Storey and wheelchair athlete David Weir, who won four gold medals each, and swimmer Stephanie Millward who won a total of five medals. Storey also became the British athlete with the most overall medals, 22, and equal-most gold medals, 11, in Paralympic Games history.
The men's tournament in goalball at the 2012 Summer Paralympics was contested from 30 August to 7 September. 38 matches were played; 30 in the group play, 4 quarter-finals, 2 semi-finals, a bronze medal match, and a gold medal match.

The women's football tournament was held as part of the 2019 African Games between 17–29 August 2019. Under-20 national teams took part in the tournament. Nigeria defeated Cameroon in the final on penalties to win the tournament. Morocco defeated Algeria to win the bronze medal.

On 17 August, judo events began two days before the opening ceremony on the first day, Algeria achieved 9 medals, including two gold medals by Wail Ezzine in weight 66 kg and Faïza Aissahine in weight 52 kg. Menna Shaaban Okila is an Egyptian karateka. She won the silver medal in the women's +68 kg event at the 2021 World Karate Championships held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She also won the gold medal in the women's team kumite event.

Hocine Daikhi is an Algerian karateka. He is a two-time medalist, including gold, at the Mediterranean Games, a silver medalist at the African Games and a bronze medalist at the Islamic Solidarity Games. He has also won medals in individual and team events at several editions of the African Karate Championships.
