The men's tournament of volleyball at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru took place from 31 July to 4 August 2019. All games were held at the Callao Sports Center. The defending champions were Argentina.
A total of eight men's teams qualified to compete at the games. [1] Peru automatically qualified as hosts and five other teams qualified based on their final rank (top five) at the 2018 Men's Pan-American Volleyball Cup regardless of their continental confederation, NORCECA or CSV. The last two berths (one for NORCECA and one for CSV) should have been awarded in qualification tournaments by each confederation or assigned directly, however, qualification tournaments were not held and each confederation assigned its berth directly.

The Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV) is the continental governing body for the sports of volleyball in South America. Its headquarters is located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The 2012 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the eleventh edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, played by twelve countries in July 2012 in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico, after Lima, Peru, withdrew from hosting it. The top four NORCECA teams and the top from CSV confederation, in addition to Brazil, which was a wild card, qualified for the 2013 FIVB World Grand Prix.
The 2012 FIVB Women's World Olympic Qualification Tournament is a qualification tournament to determine the remaining four competitor spots for Volleyball at the 2012 Summer Olympics. The event also doubles as the Asian Olympic Qualification Tournament; the best three teams plus the best Asian team will compete in the 2012 Summer Olympics.
The 2014 Women's U23 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the second edition of the bi-annual women's volleyball tournament, played by eight countries from September 7–13, 2013 in Ica and Chincha Alta, Peru. At the end of the tournament, the top two teams from NORCECA and the best placed of the CSV qualified for 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's U23 World Championship, to be held in Ankara, Turkey. Colombia (CSV), Cuba and Dominican Republic (NORCECA) qualified for the World Championship.
The 2015 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the fourteenth edition of the annual women's volleyball tournament, played by twelve countries over June, 2014 in Lima and Callao, Peru. The competition served as a qualifier for the 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix. The United States won their fourth championship defeating 3–0 to the Dominican Republic and the American Krista Vansant won the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Volleyball competitions at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru are scheduled to be held from August 2 to 11. The venue for the competition is the Sports Centre VRDC located at the Villa Deportiva Regional del Callao cluster. The venue will also host the taekwondo competitions. A total of eight men's and eight women's teams competed in each tournament. This means a total of 192 athletes are scheduled to compete.

The 2019 FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup was the second edition of the FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup, an annual women's international volleyball tournament contested by six national teams that acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League. The tournament was held in Lima, Peru.

The 2024 Boys' U17 Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the first edition of the Boys' U17 Pan-American Volleyball Cup, the bi-annual volleyball tournament organized by the Pan-American Volleyball Union (UPV) that brings together the NORCECA and Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV) U17 boys' national teams. It was held in Colima, Mexico from 17 to 22 June 2024.
