The 2019 Men's Summer Universiade Volleyball Tournament was the 30th edition of the event, organized by the Summer Universiade. It was held in Naples, Italy from 5 to 13 July 2019. [1]

  5. If the tie continues as per the point ratio between two teams, the priority will be given to the team which won the last match between them. When the tie in points ratio is between three or more teams, a new classification of these teams in the terms of points 1, 2 and 3 will be made taking into consideration only the matches in which they were opposed to each other.

Match won 3–0 or 3–1: 3 match points for the winner, 0 match points for the loser
Match won 3–2: 2 match points for the winner, 1 match point for the loser [2]

For the first time the EuroVolley was held in four countries: France, Slovenia, Belgium and Netherlands. The tournament ran from 12 to 29 September 2019. The tournament was held at University of Taipei Gymnasium, Taipei, Taiwan from 8 to 15 August 2018.

The 2019 Spikers’ Turf Reinforced Conference is the thirteenth conference of the Spikers' Turf. The tournament began on May 19, 2019 at the Paco Arena. The Philippine men’s volleyball team is set to compete in this conference as preparations for the 2019 SEA Games.

The 2019 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference was the eighth conference of the Premier Volleyball League. The conference started on August 11, 2019 and ended on November 9, 2019 at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan, Metro Manila, Philippines. Philippine Air Force Women's Volleyball Team returned in action and two new teams joined the conference named Chef's Classics Lady Red Spikers and Choco Mucho Flying Titans.

The 2019 Spikers’ Turf Open Conference was the fourteenth conference of the Spikers' Turf. The tournament began on August 20, 2019 with a total of 24 teams. San Beda replaced PNP, which was forced to withdraw from the competition after failing to secure permission from their superior officers.

The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's Challenger Cup was the second edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Challenger Cup, an annual men's international volleyball tournament contested by six national teams that acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League. The tournament was held in Ljubljana, Slovenia from 3 to 7 July 2019.

The men's tournament in volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics was the 15th edition of the event at the Summer Olympics, organised by the world's governing body, the FIVB, in conjunction with the IOC. It was held in Tokyo, Japan from 24 July to 7 August 2021. It was originally scheduled to take place from 25 July to 8 August 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IOC and the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee announced on 24 March 2020 that the 2020 Summer Olympics would be delayed to 2021. Because of this pandemic, all matches were played behind closed doors.

The women's tournament in volleyball at the 2020 Summer Olympics was the 15th edition of the event at an Olympic Games, organised by the world's governing body, the FIVB, in conjunction with the IOC. It was held in Tokyo, Japan from 25 July to 8 August 2021.

The 2021 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 32nd edition of the Women's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. For the second time the Women's EuroVolley was held in four countries: Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania.

The 2021 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 32nd edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, CEV. For the second time, the EuroVolley was held in four countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Estonia and Finland. The number of national teams that participated in the event remained to 24.

The 2019 Men's South American Volleyball Championship was the 33rd edition of the Men's South American Volleyball Championship, organised by South America's governing volleyball body, the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV). The tournament was held in Mostazal, Santiago and Temuco, Chile from 10 to 14 September 2019. The top four teams which had not yet qualified to the 2020 Summer Olympics qualified for the 2020 South American Olympic Qualification Tournament.

The 2020 Women's European Olympic Qualification Tournament was a volleyball tournament for women's national teams held in Apeldoorn, Netherlands from 7 to 12 January 2020. 8 teams played in the tournament and the winners Turkey qualified to the 2020 Women's Olympic Volleyball Tournament.

The Asian Qualification Tournament for the 2020 Men's Olympic Volleyball Tournament was a volleyball tournament for men's national teams held in Jiangmen, China from 7 to 12 January 2020. 8 teams played in the tournament and the winners Iran qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics.

The 2020 Women's Volleyball South American Olympic Qualification Tournament was a volleyball tournament for women's national teams held in Bogota, Colombia from 7 to 9 January 2020. 4 teams played in the tournament, where the winner qualified to the 2020 women's Olympic volleyball tournament.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2021 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship</span> Volleyball club tournament held in Thailand

The 2021 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was the eleventh edition of the Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship, an annual international volleyball club tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Thailand Volleyball Association (TVA). The tournament was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from 8 to 15 October 2021. The champions qualified for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship.
