The volleyball tournaments at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara are scheduled to run from 17 November to 2 December 2023. 18 volleyball teams and 29 beach volleyball teams will participate in the tournament. Indoor volleyball competitions will occur at Friendship Hall with the beach volleyball tournament staged at the SIFF Academy. [1] [2] [3]

The Pacific Games Council (PGC) organises the Games and oversees the host city's preparations. Athletes with a disability are included as full members of their national teams. In each sporting event, gold medals are awarded for first place, silver medals are awarded for second place, and bronze medals are awarded for third place.

Bethania Almánzar Sosa is a female beach volleyball and volleyball player from the Dominican Republic. She twice won the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit 2007, partnering Margarita Suero. She played the 2023 Beach Volleyball World Championships and won the silver medal in the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games playing with Julibeth Payano.

Liz Masakayan is a former indoor and beach volleyball player, and is currently a coach. She participated in the 1988 Summer Olympics with the United States women's national volleyball team, and as a beach volleyball player won a total of 47 tournaments in her career.

Beach volleyball at the Pacific Games has been contested since 1999 when the sport was included at the Eleventh South Pacific Games held in Guam. Since that time, Beach volleyball has been one of the core sports of the Pacific Games, required to be included for both men and women in every games. It has also been included in some of the Pacific Mini Games, starting with the seventh edition held in Palau in 2005.

Volleyball at the 2018 Asian Games was held in two venues in Indonesia. All matches were held at the GBK Tennis Indoor and the Bulungan Sports Hall, Jakarta.
