Volta a Portugal do Futuro is a road bicycle race held annually in Portugal. It has been organized as a 2.2U event on the UCI Europe Tour since 2014. [1] [2]
União Ciclista de Vila do Conde is a Portuguese cycling team that is currently only under-23 and also races predominantly in cyclocross. The team was founded in 1998, at the time under the name ASC–Guilhabreu–Vila do Conde, and was professional between 2002 and 2007. However, the last two years as a professional team, 2006 and 2007, União Ciclista de Vila do Conde was associated with Vitória SC of Guimarães, with the team being known as Vitória–ASC.
W52–FC Porto was a professional road bicycle racing team, which participated in UCI Continental Circuits races before a doping scandal. This team is based in Felgueiras, Portugal, its title sponsors are clothing brand W52, and sports club FC Porto.

His biggest win to date was the overall at the 2016 Tour of Turkey. He was named in the start list for the 2017 Giro d'Italia. In July 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Tour de France. On 12 April 2023, he received a four-year ban by UCI for doping.

Vítor Manuel Gamito Gomes is a Portuguese former cyclist. Professional between 1992 and 2004, he was the National Time Trial Champion in 1999 and 2000. His biggest win was the Volta a Portugal, which he won in 2000 after finishing four times in second place. He participated in the Vuelta a España three times, but failed to finish all three. Gamito also represented Portugal at the 2000 Summer Olympics, participating in the road race and in the time trial.
