Vultures is the third extended play from Disciple. They released the EP on September 25, 2015, independently.
While working on the album Attack , the band wrote many songs, including the six songs on this EP. They did not include these songs on the album, claiming that they did not thematically complement the album. [1]
In an interview, lead singer Kevin Young stated that the song "Bring the Dead to Life" was written by Jason Wilkes. The story behind the song was that Wilkes' friend saw his former band's deceased drummer, Scotty Lockridge, in her dream. Wilkes went on to write this song, dedicating it to Lockridge. [2]

Awarding the EP four and a half stars for New Release Today, Mary Nikkel states, "Vultures is set apart from the spiritually empowering fight songs found on Attack by its brooding edge, drawing out the midnights of the soul in order to declare the presence of Christ's grace in even the darkest moments." [6] Christopher Smith, giving the EP four stars at Jesus Freak Hideout, writes, "Like Attack, all the elements that make a high caliber rock album are present on Vultures." Rating the EP a 4.8 out of five from The Christian Beat, Chris Major says, "Vultures is as well-produced as any other Disciple record and perfectly complements their iconic collection." [3] Stephanie Crail, rating the album a 94 percent for Jesus Wired, says, "Vultures is yet another remarkable album in an already impressive career, and only serves as further proof that Disciple is well deserving of their place in the realm of Christian rock." [5]

Matt Hammitt is an American singer, songwriter, speaker and author. He was the lead singer for Sanctus Real, which has released seven studio albums with Sparrow Records, toured internationally and released 14 top five and number one singles to Christian radio. Hammitt left Sanctus Real effective December 2015 to spend more time with his family. He also pursued a solo career. He has since released one solo album, Every Falling Tear.
Commodity is the fifth studio album from American Christian rock band Remedy Drive. Love Letter Kill Shot is the twelfth studio album by Christian rock group Disciple. It is the seventh album by the band to be produced by Travis Wyrick, and was mixed and mastered by Zeuss. The album was released on September 13th, 2019. "Love Letter Kill Shot is nothing like our past albums," vocalist Kevin Young told New Release Today in an interview about the album, "It's nothing like Attack or Long Live the Rebels or Vultures or O God Save Us All or Horseshoes & Handgrenades. It's so different. The music is different. The lyrics are different. The way that we're saying things are different. But, the vision is the same. I guess we were able to tap into creativity and freshness that we've never been able to tap into before. It's very, very exciting for us."
