Vus'Umuzi Malinga (born 29 October 1979), best known as Vusi Malinga, is a South African professional boxer. He has challenged three times for a bantamweight world title, in 2009, 2012 and 2013.
On 12 June 2008 Malingo fought former two-time bantamweight world champion Veeraphol Sahaprom in an eliminator for the right to fight for the WBC world title and won by technical knockout. [1]
On 12 March 2009 Malinga fought Hozumi Hasegawa for the WBC world title where he lost by technical knockout. [2]
On 30 October 2010 Malinga fought Michael Domingo in an eliminator for the right to fight for the IBF world title and won by unanimous decision. [3]
On 2 June 2012 Malinga fought Leo Santa Cruz for the vacant IBF world title where he lost by unanimous decision. This bout was aired on Showtime. [4]
On 21 December 2013 Malinga fought Stuart Hall for the vacant IBF world title and lost by unanimous decision. [5]

The World Boxing Association (WBA), formerly known as the National Boxing Association (NBA), is the oldest and one of four major organizations which sanction professional boxing bouts, alongside the World Boxing Council (WBC), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Organization (WBO). The WBA awards its world championship title at the professional level. Founded in the United States in 1921 by 13 state representatives as the NBA, in 1962 it changed its name in recognition of boxing's growing popularity worldwide and began to gain other nations as members.
Jorge Armando Arce Armenta, best known as Jorge Arce, is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1996 to 2014. He is a multiple-time world champion, and the second boxer from Mexico to win world titles in four weight divisions. In a storied career, Arce held the WBO light flyweight title from 1998 to 1999; the WBC and lineal light flyweight titles from 2002 to 2004; the WBO super flyweight title in 2010; the WBO junior featherweight title in 2011; and the WBO bantamweight title from 2011 to 2012. Additionally he held the WBC interim flyweight title from 2005 to 2006, the WBA interim super flyweight title from 2008 to 2009, and challenged once for the WBC featherweight title in his final fight in 2014.
Hozumi Hasegawa is a Japanese former professional boxer who competed from 1999 to 2016. He is the first Japanese boxer to win world titles in three weight classes, having held the WBC bantamweight title from 2005 to 2010; the WBC featherweight title from 2010 to 2011; and the WBC super-bantamweight title in 2016. Hasegawa received MVP awards from the Japan Boxing Commission in 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2009 for his title defenses, and is the first Japanese boxer to have defended a bantamweight world title more four times. He is Matsuzaka Generation.
Vakhtang "Vic" Darchinyan is an Armenian former professional boxer who competed from 2000 to 2017. He held multiple world championships in two weight classes, including the IBF flyweight title from 2004 to 2007; and the WBA, WBC, IBF, and lineal super-flyweight titles between 2008 and 2010. Additionally, he held a record four IBO titles at flyweight, super-flyweight, and twice at bantamweight between 2005 and 2011. A southpaw with a highly unique fighting style and formidable punching power, Darchinyan became the first Armenian boxer to win a world title in 2004.
Celestino Caballero is a Panamanian former professional boxer who competed from 1998 to 2014. He held world championships in two weight classes, including the unified WBA (Super) and IBF super bantamweight titles between 2006 and 2010, and the WBA (Regular) featherweight title from 2011 to 2012.

He is nicknamed "Solemn-faced Tiger" or "Deathmask" because he never changes his expression when throwing punches.
