The CSAOne-Day Cup is the premier domestic one-day cricket competition of South Africa, its matches having List A status. Matches are usually played partly under lights as day-night matches and occasionally get larger crowds than the Test matches.
Durban Stars is a semi-professional association football club based in the Chatsworth suburb of Durban, in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. The club was founded in July 2003, when the businessman Phindani Nene acquired the Castle League franchise of the National First Division club Moja United from Pietermaritzburg, and thereby established his new club Durban Stars FC, directly into the second level of South African football. The club played at that level from 2003–09, before being relegated to Vodacom League.

Grove Anton Venter is a South African first-class cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper/batsman for the KwaZulu-Natal provincial side. He made his debut for the team against Griqualand West on 29 September 2013 in the CSA Provincial One-Day Competition; he took one catch to dismiss Kagiso Mohale off the bowling of Daryn Dupavillon and was unbeaten on 5 runs as KwaZulu-Natal recorded a three-wicket victory. His first-class debut came 11 days later against Namibia; he took two catches for the first two Namibian wickets, but scored just one run in each innings as Namibia won by an innings and 94 runs. His top scores in both List A and first-class cricket came in successive games, first scoring 54 not out in a 129-run victory over Easterns in the one-day competition on 24 November 2013, before hitting 26 in the first innings of a drawn match against North West on 12–14 December 2013.
Keshav Athmanand Maharaj is a South African professional cricketer. Maharaj represents the South Africa national team in Tests, One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket. He is currently the vice-captain of the side in limited overs cricket. Maharaj also captains Durban's Super Giants in the SA20.
Mark David Sanders is a South African former cricketer active from 1998/99 until 2005/06. Sanders played for KwaZulu-Natal B, KwaZulu-Natal and Boland.
Rivash Gobind is a South African cricket coach and former player. As a player, Gobind was a left-handed top order and opening batsman, who played for KwaZulu-Natal, Dolphins and South Africa U-19s; he captained both KwaZulu-Natal and South Africa U-19, and was the first Indian to captain a South African national cricket team.
Eathan Bosch is a South African professional cricketer. He made his first-class debut for KwaZulu-Natal in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 12 January 2017. He made his List A debut for KwaZulu-Natal in the 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 12 February 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Dolphins in the 2017–18 Ram Slam T20 Challenge on 12 November 2017.
Keagan Clint Africa is a former South African cricketer who represented KwaZulu-Natal between 2004 and 2007. He played as a right-arm medium-pace bowler.
The 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa from 12 October 2017 to 15 April 2018. The competition was played between the thirteen South African provincial teams and Namibia. Unlike its counterpart, the Sunfoil Series, the matches were three days in length instead of four. The tournament was played in parallel with the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge, a List A competition which features the same teams.
The 2019–20 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa from October 2019 to April 2020. On 16 March 2020, Cricket South Africa suspended all cricket in the country for 60 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 24 March 2020, Easterns and KwaZulu-Natal were named as the joint-winners of the tournament. KwaZulu-Natal finished top of group B, with Easterns named joint-winners despite not topping their group, but played one match fewer than other teams, with their victory coming via an average points calculation. This was following the recommendations made by Graeme Smith, the acting Director of Cricket.
The 2019–20 CSA Provincial T20 Cup was a domestic Twenty cricket tournament that took place in South Africa in September 2019, as a curtain-raiser to the 2019–20 South African domestic season. It was played between the thirteen South African provincial teams, along with Limpopo and Mpumalanga. This was the sixth edition of the CSA Provincial T20 Cup, which was last played in the 2015–16 season. With only domestic teams from South Africa taking part, the tournament returned in place of the Africa T20 Cup, which had been held since 2015.
The 2020–21 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa during February and March 2021. Easterns and KwaZulu-Natal were the defending champions, after the title was shared due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2021–22 CSA 4-Day Series was a first-class cricket competition that took place in South Africa from October 2021 to March 2022. It was the first edition of the post-franchise era, and the first edition to return to a two-division league format. Domestic cricketing reforms were introduced in 2020 that discontinued the six franchise team format, and announced a return to the more traditional provincial based system. Fifteen teams, split over the two divisions, now compete in the 4-Day Series.
The 2021–22 CSA One-Day Cup was a List A cricket competition that took place in South Africa in March and April 2022. It was the first edition of the tournament in the post-franchise era, and the first edition to return to a two-division league format. Domestic cricketing reforms were introduced in 2020 that discontinued the six franchise team format and announced a return to the more traditional provincial based system. Fifteen teams, split over the two divisions, competed in the one-day tournament.
The 2022–23 CSA 4-Day Series was a first-class cricket competition taking place in South Africa from October 2022 to March 2023. It was the second edition of the post-franchise era and retained the two-division league format introduced the previous year, with the teams in each division unchanged.
The 2023–24 CSA 4-Day Series is a first-class cricket competition taking place in South Africa from 26 October 2023 to 3 March 2024. It was the 3rd edition of the post-franchise era and retained the two-division league format introduced the previous year. The competing teams in each division were different for the first time since the 2021–22 adoption of the provisional format, with KwaZulu-Natal Inland being promoted to Division 1 and Knights being relegated to Division 2 based on their performances across all formats in the previous two years. 2023–24 will be the first season to have promotion and relegation based on teams' performances across formats in just that one season.
The 2024–25 CSA 4-Day Franchise Series is the 118th CSA 4-Day Domestic Series cricket season in South Africa. As in 2023, Division One had eight teams and Division Two had seven teams. The season started on 30 October 2024 and is scheduled to finish on 14 April 2025.
