W. B. Anthony was an American politician who served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 1907 to 1912.
W. B. Anthony served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 1907 to 1912 representing Stephens County. He was a member of the Democratic Party. [1] He was also the private secretary for Charles N. Haskell. On June 12,1910,he participated in a scheme to move the State Seal of Oklahoma from Guthrie to Oklahoma City on Haskell's orders. He was the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives during the 1910 special session. He died in 1933. [2]
Haskell is a city,as of March 2024,in Muskogee County,Oklahoma,United States. The population was 2,007 at the 2010 census,a gain of 13.7 percent over the figure of 1,765 recorded in 2000. Haskell was established in 1904 on the Midland Valley Railroad. It was named for town site developer Charles N. Haskell,who would become the first governor of the State of Oklahoma in 1907.

He worked hard to enforce prohibitions on alcohol and gambling,going so far as to use the state militia to stop horse racing. He was succeeded by Robert L. Williams.
