w00tstock was a touring variety show billed as "3 Hours of Geeks & Music". It was created in 2009 by Wil Wheaton, Adam Savage and Paul and Storm. [1] [2] The first shows took place in 2009 in San Francisco and Los Angeles, and continued until 2016, a total of 21 shows having been presented.

Contents

The name is a play on words combining Woodstock, the notable 1969 counterculture music festival, and w00t, an Internet slang word that expresses excitement.

The versions

Though the headliners for the show were Adam Savage, Wil Wheaton, and Paul and Storm, each evening’s performance included a different group of special guests and was subtitled with a different version number.

Paul and Storm revealed via their Twitter feed on February 2, 2010, that “w00tstock 2.x is officially in play. Details very soon...” [6]

Geek a Week is an art project created by comic artist Len Peralta. Started in March 2010, Peralta's goal was to create illustrations and text for cards from a hypothetical collectible card game, creating one card each week. The Doubleclicks Nerd-folk musical duo

The Doubleclicks are a nerd-folk musical duo based in Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles, California, consisting of siblings Laser Webber and Aubrey Turner. They first became known for performing nerd-friendly comedy music, including songs about Dungeons & Dragons, dinosaurs, and other geeky themes. While their later songs retain those elements, there has been a stronger focus on feminist and other social issues, and more personal themes.

SiliCon with Adam Savage is an annual pop culture and technology convention, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. The convention was founded by Steve Wozniak, Stan Lee and Rick White. The inaugural event was held March 18–20, 2016 at San Jose's McEnery Convention Center. The convention was rebranded as SiliCon in early 2020 and Adam Savage was appointed as the creative director.
