May 20, 1974: The station first signed on the air as WLIT, operating as a daytime-only station in Steubenville, Ohio. January 1987: The call sign was changed to WDIG, adopting an oldies format. November 1991: The station was purchased by World Witness For Christ Ministries and returned to the air with a gospel music format after a brief period of being silent. December 4, 2018: The new owners, Robert and Kim Scharnhorst, changed the call sign to WIXZ. Current Station (WYYZ): The current WYYZ in Jasper, Georgia, operates on 1490 kHz AM and 102.5 MHz FM translator and It adopted the WYYZ branding around or before December 2016. In February 2021, it rebranded as "Wise 103"May 20. In March 2025 it is now owned by Steven Lara As El Gallo 102.5FM.
