Wade L. Eastwood is an American stuntman, film director, and second unit director, most well known for his collaborations with actor Tom Cruise. He is unrelated to actor, producer, and director Clint Eastwood.

Career

He began working with actor Tom Cruise on the 2014 film Edge of Tomorrow , before Eastwood would serve as second unit director on Cruise's next big film Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015). [1] He would later direct second unit on fellow Cruise star-vehicles Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016), The Mummy (2017), Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018), and Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning (2023), and is currently working on Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (2025). [2]

He helped devise the bathroom fight between Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and August Walker (Henry Cavill) in Fallout and Hunt's motorcycle leap, the car chase throughout central Rome, and the climatic train sequence in Dead Reckoning. [3]

Other films that he has worked on that have not involved Cruise include Men in Black: International , Inferno , Jumanji: The Next Level , Bridge of Dragons , and the television series Relic Hunter . [4]
