The Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (Urdu:پاکستانمسلملیگ(ن),abbr.PML(N) or PML-N) is a centre-right,conservative liberal political party in Pakistan. It is currently the third-largest party in the Senate. The party was founded in 1993,when a number of prominent conservative politicians in the country joined hands after the dissolution of Islamic Democratic Alliance,under the leadership of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The party's platform is generally conservative,which involves supporting free markets,deregulation,lower taxes and private ownership. Although the party historically supported social conservatism,in recent years,the party's political ideology and platform has become more liberal on social and cultural issues;however,members have been accused of using Islamist populist rhetoric. Alongside the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan People's Party (PPP),it is one of the three major political parties of the country.
The Intelligence Bureau is a intelligence agency in Pakistan focused primarily on non-military intelligence. Established in 1947,the IB is Pakistan's oldest intelligence agency. DG IB is usually an officer from the Police Service of Pakistan.
The National Accountability Bureau is Pakistan's anti-corruption agency. Its chairman is Nazir Ahmed Butt,a retired general.

He served as the Vice-President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) under the leadership of Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto. He also led a famous intelligence operation named Midnight Jackals,which thwarted a military coup attempt of the elected PPP government in 1990. He was imprisoned in 1996 by the government of Farooq Leghari where he was charged with launching widespread wiretapping against government officials.

The Federal Investigation Agency is a border control,criminal investigation,counter-intelligence and security agency under the control of the Interior Secretary of Pakistan,tasked with investigative jurisdiction on undertaking operations against terrorism,espionage,federal crimes,smuggling as well as infringement and other specific crimes.

Rana Sanaullah Khan is a Pakistani lawyer and politician who is currently serving as Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. Previously,served as the 39th Interior Minister of Pakistan. He had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from August 2018 till August 2023,and Again from since 19 May 2024. He is a senior member of PML-N and the President of PML-N in Punjab province since 4 May 2019. Before getting elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan,Sanaullah had been elected to the Provincial Assembly of Punjab five times and had served in high-ranking ministries of the province.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif is a Pakistani politician,currently serving as the 20th Chief Minister of Punjab,in office since 26 February 2024. She is the daughter of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and her initial involvement in public life was through her family’s philanthropic organisations. However,her political career began in earnest in 2012 when she took charge of the election campaign for the 2013 general elections. Following the elections,she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme in 2013. Despite her active role,she resigned from the position in 2014 after her appointment was legally challenged in the Lahore High Court.
Shehryar Khan Afridi is a Pakistani politician who served as Chairperson of the Parliamentary Special Committee on Kashmir,in office from 13 May 2020 to April 2022. He served as the Minister of State for Interior from 31 August 2018 to 18 April 2019. He has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024 and previously served as a member from August 2018 till January 2023 and June 2013 to May 2018. He also served as the Minister of State for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) from 18 April 2019 until 25 September 2020. He was also given an additional charge of the Ministry of Narcotics Control after the death of Ali Mohammad Mahar.

The Fake accounts case is a case being heard by the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) under which former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari,his sisters Faryal Talpur and Azra Fazal Pechuho,Zardari's aide Khawaja Anwar Majeed and his sons Khawaja Niymar Majeed,Khawaja Mustafa Majeed,Abdul Ghani Majeed,and Ali Kamal Majeed are accused of money laundering through 29 fake accounts registered in Summit Bank,Sindh Bank,and United Bank Limited under people's names who themselves were not aware of those accounts. Others being investigated are Sara Tareen Majeed,Khawaja Kamal Majeed,Khawaja Mustafa Zulqarnain Majeed,and Saima Ali Majeed.
Mohammad Tahir Khan Dawar was a Pakistani police officer who was abducted from Islamabad on 26 October 2018 and then tortured and killed. His body was found on 13 November 2018 by the locals in the Dur Baba District of Nangarhar Province,Afghanistan,close to the Torkham border crossing. His postmortem report revealed he had no marks of bullet injury,but was rather killed by excessive torture during captivity. He was kept hungry and thirsty for several days,and his legs and arms were broken. He had died a few days before his body was found.
Hussain Asghar is a retired Pakistani police officer who serves as Deputy Chairman National Accountability Bureau,appointed and took charge in April 2019. Asghar is member of the 15th CTP and is batchmates with Sikandar Sultan Raja,Rizwan Ahmed,Allah Dino Khawaja and Jawad Rafique Malik and retired from active police service in BPS-22 grade. Asghar has previously served as Inspector General of Police in the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan and as Director Federal Investigation Agency.
Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi PSP is a Pakistani civil servant and police officer who served as the Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency from 14 June 2021 to April 2022. He also served as inspector general of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police from 2 January 2020 to 8 June 2021.
Ali Bilal,popularly known as Zilleh Shah,a political worker of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and resident of Jahangir Town died on 8 March 2023 in Services Hospital shortly after being released from police custody. A post-mortem report confirmed the cause of death to be excessive bleeding due to severe torture with injuries on his genitals and skull,which were likely sustained while he was in custody.
