Wajid Zia is a Pakistani civil servant and police officer who served as BPS-22 grade as the Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency,from November 2019 to June 2021. [1] He has previously served as the Inspector General of Railway Police. He first rose to prominence when he headed the joint investigation team to probe the Panama Papers case in 2017. He belongs to Tehsil Murree of District Rawalpindi. [1] [2]

The Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (Urdu:پاکستانمسلملیگ(ن),abbr.PML(N) or PML-N) is a centre-right,conservative liberal political party in Pakistan. The Intelligence Bureau is a intelligence agency in Pakistan focused primarily on non-military intelligence. Established in 1947,the IB is Pakistan's oldest intelligence agency. DG IB is usually an officer from the Police Service of Pakistan.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif is a Pakistani politician,currently serving as the 20th Chief Minister of Punjab,in office since 26 February 2024. She is the daughter of former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and her initial involvement in public life was through her family’s philanthropic organisations. However,her political career began in earnest in 2012 when she took charge of the election campaign for the 2013 general elections. Following the elections,she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme in 2013. The Panama Papers case,or the Panamagate case,was a 2017 landmark decision by the Supreme Court of Pakistan that disqualified Nawaz Sharif,the prime minister of Pakistan,from holding public office for life.

The Fake accounts case is a case being heard by the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) under which former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari,his sisters Faryal Talpur and Azra Fazal Pechuho,Zardari's aide Khawaja Anwar Majeed and his sons Khawaja Niymar Majeed,Khawaja Mustafa Majeed,Abdul Ghani Majeed,and Ali Kamal Majeed are accused of money laundering through 29 fake accounts registered in Summit Bank,Sindh Bank,and United Bank Limited under people's names who themselves were not aware of those accounts. Others being investigated are Sara Tareen Majeed,Khawaja Kamal Majeed,Khawaja Mustafa Zulqarnain Majeed,and Saima Ali Majeed.
Mohammad Tahir Khan Dawar was a Pakistani police officer who was abducted from Islamabad on 26 October 2018 and then tortured and killed. His body was found on 13 November 2018 by the locals in the Dur Baba District of Nangarhar Province,Afghanistan,close to the Torkham border crossing. His postmortem report revealed he had no marks of bullet injury,but was rather killed by excessive torture during captivity. He was kept hungry and thirsty for several days,and his legs and arms were broken. He had died a few days before his body was found.
Hussain Asghar is a retired Pakistani police officer who serves as Deputy Chairman National Accountability Bureau,appointed and took charge in April 2019. Asghar is member of the 15th CTP and is batchmates with Sikandar Sultan Raja,Rizwan Ahmed,Allah Dino Khawaja and Jawad Rafique Malik and retired from active police service in BPS-22 grade. Asghar has previously served as Inspector General of Police in the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan and as Director Federal Investigation Agency.
Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi PSP is a Pakistani civil servant and police officer who served as the Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency from 14 June 2021 to April 2022. He also served as inspector general of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police from 2 January 2020 to 8 June 2021.
Ali Bilal,popularly known as Zilleh Shah,a political worker of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and resident of Jahangir Town died on 8 March 2023 in Services Hospital shortly after being released from police custody. A post-mortem report confirmed the cause of death to be excessive bleeding due to severe torture with injuries on his genitals and skull,which were likely sustained while he was in custody.
