Lake Michigan is one of the five Great Lakes of North America. It is the second-largest of the Great Lakes by volume and the third-largest by surface area, after Lake Superior and Lake Huron. To the east, its basin is conjoined with that of Lake Huron through the 3+1⁄2-mile (5.6-kilometer) wide, 295-foot deep Straits of Mackinac, giving it the same surface elevation as its easterly counterpart; the two are geologically a single lake.

Lake Huron is one of the five Great Lakes of North America. Hydrologically, it comprises the easterly portion of Lake Michigan–Huron, having the same surface elevation as Lake Michigan, to which it is connected by the 5-mile-wide (8.0 km), 20-fathom-deep Straits of Mackinac. It is shared on the north and east by the Canadian province of Ontario and on the south and west by the U.S. state of Michigan. The name of the lake is derived from early French explorers who named it for the indigenous people they knew as Huron (Wyandot) inhabiting the region.

The city is mostly surrounded by West Bloomfield Township, with a small northeast border with Keego Harbor. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 2,375.
Walled Lake is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,999 at the 2010 census. The city is bordered by Commerce Township on the north and the city of Novi on the south. As a western suburb of Metro Detroit, Walled Lake is about 20 miles (32.2 km) northwest of Detroit.

The Pere Marquette Railway was a railroad that operated in the Great Lakes region of the United States and southern parts of Ontario in Canada. It had trackage in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and the Canadian province of Ontario. Its primary connections included Buffalo; Toledo; and Chicago. The company was named after Jacques Marquette, a French Jesuit missionary who founded Michigan's first European settlement, Sault Ste Marie.
Michigan Avenue is a north-south street in Chicago that runs at 100 east on the Chicago grid. Despite being 100 east, if you take into consideration that Wabash and Michigan avenues are evenly placed between State Street and Indiana Avenue, Michigan Avenue is actually closer to 166 or 167 east, to be precise. The northern end of the street is at Lake Shore Drive on the shore of Lake Michigan in the Gold Coast Historic District. The street's southern terminus is at Sibley Boulevard in the southern suburb of Dolton, but like many other Chicago streets, it exists in several disjointed segments.
Michigan's 11th congressional district is a United States congressional district north of Detroit, comprising most of urbanized central Oakland County. Until 1993, the district covered the state's Upper Peninsula and the northernmost portion of the Lower Peninsula. In redistricting that year, it was shifted to the outer Detroit area. Its former geographical area is now the state's first district. Its current configuration dates from 2023.

Walled Lake Northern (WLN) is a public high school in the Walled Lake Consolidated School District, located in Commerce Township, Michigan in Greater Detroit. It was completed in April, 2003 by TMP Associates, Inc. at a cost of $67.5 million. The school serves 1612 students.
Michigan's 18th congressional district is an obsolete United States congressional district in Michigan. The first Representative to Congress elected from the 18th district, George Anthony Dondero, took office in 1953, after reapportionment due to the 1950 census. In 1933, Dondero had previously been the first representative elected from 17th district.
The Walled Lake Consolidated School District is a school district with its headquarters in the Educational Services Center in Walled Lake, Michigan in Greater Detroit. The district has 12 elementary schools, four middle schools, and three high schools which serve over 14,000 children.
Walled Lake Central High School is a public high school of the Walled Lake Consolidated Schools, located in Commerce Township, Michigan in Metro Detroit. It serves portions of the township, Wolverine Lake, a small portion of the City of Walled Lake, and a small portion of Wixom. It was built as Walled Lake High School in 1957, and, a year after its first additions were completed in 1968, took its current name. The original addition was part of a construction project that included construction of Walled Lake Western High School. More additions were completed in 1992 and 2000.
Michigan's 35th Senate district is one of 38 districts in the Michigan Senate. The 35th district was created with the adoption of the 1963 Michigan Constitution, as the previous 1908 state constitution only permitted 34 senatorial districts. It has been represented by Democrat Kristen McDonald Rivet since 2023, succeeding Republican Curt VanderWall.
