Wanda Nero Butler (born September 24, 1958 as Lawanda Marie Nero) is an American gospel musician. Her first album, Reach for His Love, was released by Sog Secret in 1987, and her second album, New Born Soul, was released by the label in 1989. The subsequent two albums, Wanda and Live in Atlanta, was released in 1991 by Light Records. She released, Chike-Anyabwille, All to the Glory of God, and Family Prayer, was released in 1994, 1996, and 1999 respectively by Sound of Gospel. All albums charted with the lone exception of Wanda on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart.

Early life

Butler was born in Solano County, California, as Lawanda Marie Nero on September 24, 1958, whose father is Reverend Nero and her mother is Barbara Nero, whose maiden name was Fuller. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Music career

Her music recording career commenced in 1988, with the album, Reach for His Love, and it was released by Sog (Sound of Gospel) Secret, [5] and it was her breakthrough album upon the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart at No. 34. [6] The subsequent album, New Born Soul, was released by Sog Secret on January 11, 1990, [5] and it placed upon the aforementioned chart at No. 11. [6] She released, Wanda, with Light Records on July 1, 1991, [5] yet this was her only album that failed to chart. [6] Her fourth album, Live in Atlanta, was released by Light Records on August 29, 1991, [5] and this peaked at No. 22 on the Gospel Albums chart. [6] The album, Chike-Anyabwille, was released by Sound of Gospel on November 29, 1994, [5] and it placed on the aforementioned chart at No. 11. [6] She released, All to the Glory of God, on July 23, 1996 by Sound of Gospel, [5] and this peaked at No. 12 on the Top Gospel Albums chart. [6] The latest release, Family Prayer, released from Sound of Gospel on June 26, 1999 by Sound of Gospel, [5] and this placed at No. 11 on the aforementioned chart. [6]

Personal life

Butler is married to Reverend Zarak Butler, and together they have three children, who formerly resided in Detroit, Michigan, but presently reside in the Atlanta, Georgia area. [3]

This will lead into the release of Darlene McCoy later on that year. This album was her breakthrough release on the Billboard magazine charts, which it placed on the Gospel Albums chart. She is the First African American Female to host a nightly syndicated radio show, as she is the host of Nightly Spirit under Reach Media Inc.

Keith Lamar Johnson, who goes by the stage name Keith "Wonderboy" Johnson, is an American gospel musician. He started his solo music career, in 1998, with the release of, Through the Storm, that was released by World Wide Gospel Records. He has released fourteen albums, over the course of thirteen years, with World Wide Gospel Records, Worldwide Records, Verity Records, Central South Records, and Blacksmoke Records. Eleven albums have charted on the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart with other chartings on the Independent Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts.

Roy Keith Pringle is an American gospel musician and organist, who is the founder of Pentecostal Community Choir. His first album, "Let Everything That Has Breath Praise the Lord", was released in 1979. He went on to release more albums with Savoy Records, Hopesong Records, Heartwarming Records, Muscle Shoals Records, Malaco Records, and Platinum Entertainment. Five of these albums would chart on the Billboard Gospel Albums chart. He received a Grammy Award-nomination for the song "Call Him Up" that was on the 1980 album "True Victory".

He started his music career, in 2012, with the release of Open the Heavens by Oilonit Music, which is his own label, and Central South Distribution. This album was his Billboard magazine breakthrough release upon the Gospel Albums and Heatseeker Albums charts. The song, "Keep Me", was placed on both the WOW Gospel 2013 CD and DVD.

Kelli Evon Williams-Malcolm is an American gospel musician. Her first album, Kelli Williams, was released by Sony Music Entertainment in 1995. The subsequent album, I Get Lifted, was released in 1998 by Word Records in association with Epic Records, and this was a Billboard magazine breakthrough release upon the Gospel Albums chart. Kedrah Niyoki White, who goes by Niyoki Chapman and the stage name Niyoki, is an American gospel musician. Her first album, My Everything, was released by Executive Music Group alongside Dedicated 2 God Records in 2006. This album was a Billboard magazine breakthrough release upon the Gospel Albums chart. This was his breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine Gospel Albums chart. His subsequent album, No Greater Love, was released in 1995 by Glorious Music, but it failed to chart. The third album, Worship in the House, was released by Word Records in tandem with Epic Records in 1996, and this album charted on the Christian Albums chart. He released, Glory in the House, in 1995 with the aforementioned labels, however this time around it charted on the Gospel Albums chart.
