He participated at the 2020 Summer Paralympics and won a bronze medal in the men's 800 metres T34 event with a time of 1:45.68. [3] [4]

He is also the first swimmer from China to win a gold medal in an Olympic men's medley swimming event. He had earlier won a bronze medal in the same event at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

He also won the men's doubles bronze medals at the 2018 World Championships, 2022 Asian Games, and at the 2023 Asian Championships. He reached a career high as World number 2 in September 2022 with his current partner Lee Yang. Wang also competed in the mixed doubles, winning the gold medal at the 2017 Summer Universiade with Lee Chia-hsin, with their career high were number 10 in the BWF World Rankings in June 2018.

It was the nation's eleventh appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut in 1952. The opening ceremony flag-bearers for China were volleyball player Zhu Ting and taekwondo practitioner Zhao Shuai. Sprinter Su Bingtian, who broke the Asian record of 100 m during the Games, was the flag-bearer for the closing ceremony. The delegation competed in all sports except baseball (softball), handball, and surfing.

Yang Feng is a Chinese paralympic swimmer. He participated at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in the swimming competition, being awarded the silver medal in the men's 100 metres butterfly event on S8 class, scoring 1:03.20. Feng also participated at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in the swimming competition, winning no medal.
