"Wanna Know" is a song by American rapper Meek Mill. The track was released on July 31, 2015 as a diss track to Canadian rapper Drake. [1] "Wanna Know" was produced by Jahlil Beats and Swizz Beatz. [1]
On July 22, 2015, Meek Mill publicly criticized Drake on Twitter after being upset with Drake's non-involvement with the promotion of his album Dreams Worth More Than Money , claiming that he used ghostwriters to write his verse on "R.I.C.O.", and then releasing the reference track to the song. [2] After that, in late July 2015, Drake released two diss tracks aimed at Meek Mill, "Charged Up" and "Back to Back". [3] [4] Meek then replied with "Wanna Know". [5] Meek Mill later removed his diss to Drake on SoundCloud. [6]
In August 2015, there were rumors speculating that professional wrestler The Undertaker filed a lawsuit against Meek Mill for using a part of his entrance theme as a sample for "Wanna Know". However, a WWE spokesperson stated that "WWE takes its intellectual property rights very seriously, and we're looking into the matter", with WWE concerned that Meek Mill did not respect such property rights. [7] Mill later received a cease and desist letter from WWE chairman Vince McMahon to that point.
"Wanna Know" was first uploaded to SoundCloud, but Meek later removed the track from SoundCloud. Later, a post on Instagram was created by Meek that appeared to show that he was moving on from his "war on Drake". [8]

Robert Rihmeek Williams, known professionally as Meek Mill, is an American rapper. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he embarked on his music career as a battle rapper, and later formed a short-lived rap group, The Bloodhoundz. He signed with T.I.'s Grand Hustle Records as a solo act in 2008, although he departed by 2011 and released no albums with the label. Meek Mill then signed with Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group (MMG) that same year, and rose to mainstream recognition following his performances on the label's Self Made Vol. 1 (2011) compilation album; his song "Tupac Back" served as the album's lead single while its follow up, "Ima Boss" entered the Billboard Hot 100.

It was initially scheduled for release on September 9, 2014, however, it has been delayed few times due to Meek Mill's revoking of his probation on July 11, 2014, thus sentencing him to jail for 3 to 6 months. The album made its entry at number one on the US Billboard 200; and sold 246,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, with 215,000 coming from traditional album sales, marking as Meek's first number-one album on the chart. Due to the change in the tracking week by Nielsen Music SoundScan, its first week sales were counted towards its second week on the charts. At the 2016's Billboard Music Awards, the album won an award for Top Rap Album.

He is a member of OBH, the label and rap group he co-founded with fellow rapper Dark Lo. Complex named him one of "15 Unsigned Rappers Who Should Get a Deal After SXSW" in March 2013, the same year he turned himself in to authorities following legal trouble.
