WarCry is the first full-length album by Spanish power metal band WarCry, released on April 17, 2002 through Avispa Music.
While working in Avalanch, singer Víctor García and drummer Alberto Ardines decided to release an album with the songs they had composed in their spare time, as those were not accepted in the band. [4] All the songs dealt mostly with epic stories, immortal warriors, and personal experiences. Both members were later expelled from Avalanch, due to be working on a project behind the band's back. They decided create a band as they already had an "open path". [4] The album was produced by themselves; recorded, mixed, and edited in Jaus Records, with cover and graphic design by Ricardo Menéndez (represented by Rick-Art). [5] García handled lead vocal duties, primary lyricist, main songwriter, bassist, rhythm guitarist, and keyboardist, [6] but received the collaboration of Pablo García and Fernando Mon on the guitar solos, who later became full-time members, along with bassist Alvaro Jardón. Jardón didn't work on the album as it had already been recorded. In search of a keyboardist, the band conducted auditions from June 22 to August 12, 2002, recruiting Manuel Ramil. [7] WarCry kept working in a new album before giving a tour, in order to have enough songs to choose from. [6]
Japanese rock magazine Karma catalogued WarCry as "a Spanish album that boosts true metal!". [8] Kerrang! said it was a "very good debut from a very good band that has pleasantly surprised everyone". [9] Rock magazine HeavyRock stated that WarCry was "giving Avalanch a hard time". [10] Spanish music critic Rafa Basa said "WarCry is national [Spain] heavy metal, powerful, direct, and convincing!" [11]

WarCry is a Spanish power metal band led by founder, singer, and songwriter Víctor García. Formed in 2001 when García and drummer Alberto Ardines were ejected from Avalanch, the band has since released seven studio albums and two live albums, with an eighth studio album currently in progress. WarCry has had a fluctuating lineup with García as the sole constant member. The band has been acclaimed as one of Spain's most famous heavy metal acts and has won numerous awards in both Spain and Latin America.

Directo A La Luz is the first live album by the Spanish power metal band WarCry, recorded in Madrid, Spain on November 5, 2005 in the music hall "Divino Aqualung" to a crowd of over 2,500 people. In the concert WarCry played various songs from every album released to that point. It was released on February 27, 2006 in digipak format DVD-CD. The CD format only contained a selection of the band's most successful songs played on the concert.

"Hoy Gano Yo" is featured on live album Directo A La Luz on both DVD and CD versions. The song also appears on Finnish music video game Frets on Fire.
DarkSun is a Spanish power metal band from Asturias, Spain. Formed in 2002 after the split of Nörthwind, the band has since released six studio albums. DarkSun has often cited Blind Guardian, Helloween, Angra, and Rage as their biggest and most important influences.
