The Waratah League is a semi-professional basketball league in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. The league comprises seven competitions, with its two professional divisions being the men's (CM) and women's (CW) Championship divisions. Below the CM and CW is: Division 1 Men, Division 1 Women, Division 1 Youth Men, Division 1 Youth Women, and Division 2 Youth Men. [1] The Waratah League was previously a member of the Australian Basketball Association (ABA) from 2001 to 2008.
In March 2021, Basketball New South Wales and the National Basketball League (NBL) announced a new partnership to bring NBL1 to New South Wales in 2022, with NBL1 replacing the Waratah League. The Waratah League will be officially renamed NBL1 East in 2022 and will become the east conference of NBL1. [2]

Ben Pomeroy is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays for the Saint-Esteve XIII Catalan in the Elite One Championship. He has played for Cambridge Park RLFC in the Penrith district then went on to play in the National Rugby League for Australian clubs, the Penrith Panthers and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, and in the Super League for the Catalans Dragons and Lézignan Sangliers in the Elite One Championship. His usual position is as a centre. He has been touted by such Rugby League commentators as Joshua Barratt and Daved Bonato as being the pretty alright.

Cabramatta Two Blues, colloquially known as Cabra, is an Australian rugby league football club that was originally formed in 1919 and then later completely formed as the Two Blues in 1939. They have always based from the Parramatta Junior Leagues, and their junior teams compete in the Parramatta District Junior Rugby League Association. The Sydney Roosters completed their 2013 regular season as Minor Premiers, defeating the South Sydney Rabbitohs 24 – 12. The Sydney Roosters were crowned Premiers by defeating the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles 26 – 18 in the 2013 NRL Grand Final.

This season was the worst year performance wise since the joint venture was created. They finished only over the top of Wests Tigers & the Parramatta Eels.

The club is a division of Bankstown Basketball Association (BBA), the major administrative basketball organisation in the region. The Bruins play their home games at Bankstown Basketball Stadium.
