Warren Richards (born 4 July 1950) is an Australian judoka. He competed in the men's lightweight event at the 1976 Summer Olympics. [1] He attended Newington College from 1960 until 1966. [2]
In January 2000, as a former Olympian, Richards applied to be a torchbearer in the 2000 Summer Olympics torch relay. His invitation was withdrawn when the organising committee learned that he was imprisoned at Long Bay Jail on a drug trafficking conviction. [3]
Edwin William Carr Jr. was an Australian athlete and a surgeon. He won two gold medals at the 1950 British Empire Games in the 440 yards and 4 x 440 yard relay. He represented Australia at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki and was the son of Slip Carr who ran for Australia at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Mark William Stockwell is an Australian former competition swimmer and three-time Olympic silver medallist. Stockwell is a Queensland native who specialised in freestyle sprint events, and had a successful international swimming career during the mid-1980s including the Olympics, Pan Pacific Championships, and Commonwealth Games. Following his retirement from competitive swimming, he has become a successful business executive and has been active in the administration of national sports organisations in Australia.
Kenya sent a delegation to compete at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, from 10–26 February 2006. This was Kenya's third time participating in a Winter Olympic Games. The Kenyan delegation consisted of one athlete, cross-country skier and three-time Olympian Philip Boit. In his only event, he finished 91st in the men's 15 kilometre classical.
Cecil Patrick Healy was an Australian freestyle swimmer of the 1900s and 1910s, who won silver in the 100 m freestyle at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm. He also won gold in the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. He was killed in the First World War at the Somme during an attack on a German trench. Healy was the second swimmer behind Frederick Lane to represent Australia in Swimming and has been allocated the number "2" by Swimming Australia on a list of all Australians who have represented Australia at an Open International Level.
Richard Kevan Gosper, AO was an Australian athlete who mainly competed in the 400 metres. He was a Vice President of the International Olympic Committee, and combined Chairman and CEO of Shell Australia. Gosper died on 19 July 2024, at the age of 90.

Stephen James Handley is an Australian former rower - a fifteen-time national champion, representative at world championships and an Olympian. He is a board member of the New South Wales Rowing Association and a state rowing selector. From 2009 until 2014 he was Club Captain of Sydney Rowing Club and is currently Vice-President. Handley has coached rowing since 1979, at Sydney Rowing Club, Newington College, St Joseph's College and The King's School with success at NSW Championship, Australian championships and at the New South Wales Head of the River regatta.
