The Golden State Warrior Girls are an all-female National Basketball Association Cheerleading dance squad that performs in support of the Golden State Warriors during home games at Chase Center in San Francisco, California. The dance team consists of 18 women who also serve as ambassadors of the Warriors organization. [1] [2] The squad's dance style is primarily hip-hop and jazz although other styles are often incorporated into their dance routines. The dancers typically perform during two of the four regulation quarters. The squad also regularly performs during the opening and half-time ceremonies, as well as team time-outs. Typical dance routines last around 60 to 90 seconds. Over the course of the season the dance squad will perform at 43 home games including two preseason games. [3] The squad also performs at playoff games when their team qualifies. In addition to their performances, the Warrior Girls are regular attendees of season ticket holder events which take place throughout the season. At these events, they interact with fans, assist with raffles, and sign autographs on behalf of the Warriors franchise.
Besides basketball games, the dancers regularly perform at national and international dance clinics and competitions and regularly participate in community outreach programs throughout the Bay Area.
In addition to providing entertainment at Warrior's home games, the dancers are also active in the community and serve as good-will ambassadors for the Warriors Organization. [4]
The Warrior Girls organize and participate in many philanthropic events including the NBA's Read to Achieve Program. Throughout the season the Warrior Girls host multiple 'Reading Time Outs' in which they read books to Bay Area school children. [5]
The Warrior Girls are well known for their annual swimsuit calendar. Only a handful of NBA dance teams release swimsuit calendars. [6] The first swimsuit calendar was released in 2007 under the coordination of their then first year coach, Susan Hovey. After the success of the 2007 Calendar, the release of the Warrior Girls calendar has become an annual event and continues to draw large crowds to Golden State Warrior events and games. The Warrior Girls 2009-2010 Swimsuit Calendar was released on December 5, 2009, and debuted prior to tip-off of the Warriors-Orlando Magic game. The calendar debut has become somewhat of a tradition for Warrior fans who line up each year to have their copy of the calendar signed by the dancers.

The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers Spirit Squads comprise the cheerleading organization at the Twin Cities campus of the University of Minnesota. Being the first program ever to form worldwide, the University of Minnesota is consequently considered the "Birthplace of Cheerleading". Today, the Gopher Spirit Squads consist of four separate squads: a cheer squad, a dance team, a hockey cheer squad, and the school's mascot, Goldy Gopher. The squads consistently perform well at national competitions including 21 national championships in dance since 2003, a 2nd-place finish for All-Girl in 2013, a fifth-place finish in 2017, and four-time national champion Goldy Gopher in 2011, 2013, 2017, and 2018. Every year, the MDC sends a cheerleader to the Pro Bowl. The MDC also sends a number of alumni to the Indian Premier League every year.

The Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders are a cheerleading and dance squad for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Along with the Seattle Seahawks Dancers, the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders and the Washington Commanders' Command Force, the Ravens squad is a co-ed squad, with the female cheerleaders doing various dance moves, and the males working on stunts, as in traditional cheerleading. The group was founded in 1998, and currently consists of 48 members. The squad performs at the Ravens home stadium M&T Bank Stadium. The squad's director is Tina Galdieri, who cheered at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, as well as the World League of American Football's Barcelona Dragons, and also led the University of Maryland's cheerleading squad to a national championship in 1999. The squad also has a "Lil Ravens" summer program, and unlike the other squads, boys also are permitted to join. The group makes various appearances at parties and corporate functions throughout the year. The female members of the squad also has a swimsuit calendar, with their 2012 calendar taking place in the Bahamas. The squad currently has 31 female members.

Robin Schreiber, better known as Dance Cam Mom or Sweater Mom, is an American superfan of the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A Warriors season ticket holder since the late 1980s, she dances at home games in a blue and gold sweater—the Warriors' team colors. She was often shown dancing in her trademark Christmas sweater on the jumbotron at Oracle Arena, the Warriors' former home arena. She has continued to perform at their new arena, Chase Center.
