Washington County Transportation Authority is the official transportation authority in Washington County, Pennsylvania. It was created in 2001 to take over the "human service transportation programs previously overseen by the County’s Department of Human Services and managed by a private broker." [2] Other than Philadelphia and Allegheny County, the Washington County Transportation Authority operates the fifth largest shared ride program in Pennsylvania. [2]
Washington County is a county located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of the 2010 census, the population was 207,820. Its county seat is Washington. The county was created on March 28, 1781, from part of Westmoreland County. The city and county were both named after American Revolutionary War leader George Washington, who eventually became the first President of the United States.

Freedom Transit is the designation for the public transit agency providing bus services in the urbanized portion of central and northern Washington County, Pennsylvania. Local bus routes are designed to serve Washington, Pennsylvania, an edge city and a key location of both business parks and shopping amenities. The "Metro" bus route provides access from the Washington County suburbs to Downtown Pittsburgh. The Metro bus route makes stops in Washington, Houston and Canonsburg, serving central and northern Washington County, traveling ten times per weekday in each direction to Downtown Pittsburgh. The Metro service also stops at designated park and ride locations. More limited bus service is offered on Saturdays, with service to the South Hills "T" Transit Center.
Chartiers Township is a township in Washington County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 7,818 at the 2010 census. Along with the borough of Houston the township makes up the Chartiers-Houston School District.

Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority is a public transportation service located in Washington County, Westmoreland County, and a small portion of Fayette County in Pennsylvania. It provides inter-city bus and paratransit service to select communities within the area. The Mon Valley region is located within the metropolitan area of Pittsburgh; however, daily bus routes are provided to the city, with hourly service for much of the day on Monday through Friday.
Butler Transit Authority, operating as TheBus, is a public transportation service located in Butler, Pennsylvania. The service provides mass transit access for the central portion of the county, which is centered around the county seat. The agency additionally provides weekday commuter access to Pittsburgh. However, no bus routes run through Cranberry Township, which is the largest and most heavily suburbanized community in the county; riders from this municipality are instead served by a private commuter service operated by Lenzner Coach Lines. Pittsburgh services feature five park-and-ride options. Both commuter routes serve the Pullman Square lot in Butler. Route 8 service also stops at Glade Run Church in Middlesex Township and the Duncan Avenue lot in Hampton Township. I-79 service stops at Edco Park in Evans City and the PennDOT lot in Jackson Township.
Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC), is a public transportation agency designated by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to oversee transportation needs of Chester County, Pennsylvania. According to the website, the organization provides services to facilitate car pools, van pools, and bus shuttles. The organization works closely with other organizations such as SEPTA, Krapf Transit and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission. In 2015, Saturday service was restored to the agency's SCCOOT and Coatesville Link services. Saturday service on SCCOOT was later dropped.
Green Mountain Transit (GMT) is the regional public transit system based in Burlington, Vermont, which was formed in 2016 through the merger of two more localized transit systems: the Chittenden County Transportation Authority and the Green Mountain Transit Authority.

Martz Group also operates the Gold Line commuter service and Gray Line sightseeing service in Washington, D.C., the National Coach Works in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and the First Class Coach Company Trailways serving Tampa and St. Petersburg in Florida.
