"We Are" is a song by American rap rock band Hollywood Undead. It is the first official single from the band's third studio album Notes from the Underground and was released as the fifth track on the album. [1]
The song has vocals from several members of the band, with Danny singing the chorus, Johnny 3 Tears rapping the first verse, and J-Dog rapping the second verse; the final verse is screamed by J-Dog as well. A bridge is sung by both J-Dog and Danny. The song is often put next to the Swan Songs single Young by fans as it has similar vibes and meanings to the song.
The lyrics of the song were inspired by America's Youth quoted by Johnny 3 Tears, as he continues "...I feel a full-on empathy for what kids are going to have to go through cause it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. In fact, it seems quite the opposite. It’s pretty sickening sometimes, man."
The official music video was released on 10 December, which was directed by Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan, the percussionist of Slipknot. The music video has various different scenes happening, such as Da Kurlzz isolated in a fenced area being ignored by the crowds walking by, Funny Man robbing a liquor store, J-Dog burning pictures of each band member in a church, Danny smashing up televisions in front of a young and frightened girl, Johnny 3 Tears aligning what appears to be cocaine into the phrase "we are built from broken parts", and Charlie Scene setting a suited man on fire. [2] Crahan made sure to add as many different things in the video to keep it visually interesting, and as he explains in the 'Behind the Scenes' video, and it also mentioned that the video was shot in California in what Danny describes "...the most haunted place in California..." [3] which was later revealed in an interview with Charlie Scene by bloody-disgusting.com 'Linda Vista Hospital'. [4]

Prior to the release of the single, a lyric video was published on Hollywood Undead's official YouTube channel on 29 October, a day before the single was released onto iTunes. The video, as well as providing the lyrics of the song, has various clip scenes of advertisements and urban landscapes, from skyscrapers to rubble.
"We Are" was met with positive reviews; Aristdistrict gave it a 10 out of 10.

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1995 by percussionist Shawn Crahan, former vocalist Anders Colsefni and bassist Paul Gray. Michael Shawn Crahan, more commonly known by his stage persona "Clown", is an American musician. He is the co-founder and one of the percussionists for heavy metal band Slipknot, in which he is designated #6. Hollywood Undead is an American rap rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2005. All of the band members use pseudonyms and previously wore their own unique mask, most of which were based on the common hockey goaltender design. American Tragedy Redux is the first remix album by American rap rock band Hollywood Undead. It is taking songs from the band's second studio album, American Tragedy, and remixing them. It was released on November 21, 2011, by A&M/Octone Records. The original tracks on the album were recorded following the induction of Daniel Murillo into the band in early 2010 and lasted until December. The tracks were then remixed by various DJs and musicians during the band's World War III Tour with Asking Alexandria later in 2011. The album's first single, "Levitate ", was released on October 18, 2011, with a music video being released on October 24.

Five is the fifth studio album by American rap rock band Hollywood Undead. It was released on October 27, 2017 through MDDN and BMG. It is the first album to not feature Matthew "Da Kurlzz" Busek who departed from the band in early 2017. It is also the first release for BMG Rights Management since they departed from Interscope Records, successor of A&M Octone Records, its first label they signed, after release of Day of the Dead. The album features guest vocal appearances from B-Real of Cypress Hill.
We Are Not Your Kind is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Slipknot. Recorded at EastWest Studios in Hollywood, California with co-producer Greg Fidelman, it was released on August 9, 2019, by Roadrunner Records. The title is taken from a lyric in the song "All Out Life", which was released as a standalone single in 2018 and features as a bonus track on the Japanese edition of the album. We Are Not Your Kind is the only Slipknot album to be recorded as an eight-member band, as their former percussionist Chris Fehn was fired from the band in March 2019 after suing the group for alleged unpaid royalties.
