Damaged is the debut studio album by the American hardcore punk band Black Flag. SST Records released it on December 5, 1981.
SSD were a straight edge hardcore band from Boston. They released two records as SS Decontrol and then formally changed their name to SSD. As SSD they released two more records with a very heavy metal influenced sound. However the group is often simply referred to, including all its periods, as SSD.
The Dils were an American punk rock band formed 1976 and active until 1980, originally from Carlsbad, California, United States, and fronted by the brothers Chip Kinman and Tony Kinman. In God We Trust, Inc. is a hardcore punk EP by the Dead Kennedys and the first of the group's albums with drummer D.H. Peligro. The record is a screed against things ranging from organized religion and Neo-Nazis, to the pesticide Kepone and government indifference that worsened the effects of Minamata disease catastrophes. In God We Trust, Inc. is also the first Dead Kennedys album released after the presidential election of Ronald Reagan and features the band's first references to Reagan, for which they—and hardcore punk as a genre—would become notorious.
Nomeansno was a Canadian punk rock band formed in Victoria, British Columbia and later relocated to Vancouver. They issued 11 albums, including a collaborative album with Jello Biafra, as well as numerous EPs and singles. Critic Martin Popoff described their music as "the mightiest merger between the hateful aggression of punk and the discipline of heavy metal." Nomeansno's distinct hardcore punk sound, complex instrumentation, and dark, "savagely intelligent" lyrics inspired subsequent musicians. They are often considered foundational in the punk jazz and post-hardcore movements, and have been cited as a formative influence on the math rock and emo genres.
The Weirdos are an American punk rock band from Los Angeles, California. They formed in 1976, split-up in 1981, re-grouped in 1986 and have remained semi-active ever since. Critic Mark Deming calls them "quite simply, one of the best and brightest American bands of punk's first wave."
"Mongoloid" is the first single released by American new wave band Devo in 1977, on the Booji Boy Records label. It was backed with the song "Jocko Homo". "Mongoloid" also had one of the first music videos made using collage. "Mongoloid" would later be re-recorded by Devo and appeared on the album Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! in 1978. It is also a staple of Devo's live shows.
Secrets of the I Ching is the first album by 10,000 Maniacs, released in 1983 by Christian Burial Music, the band's own label. The album was recorded at SUNY Fredonia, with only 500 copies made. It is the first of their recordings with drummer Jerome Augustyniak. Rerecorded versions of the songs "Tension", "Grey Victory", "Daktari" and "My Mother the War" appear on their 1985 album The Wishing Chair. The song "Tension" is itself a re-recording of a song that initially appeared on the band's EP.

The album did not reach the Billboard 200 chart but did "bubble under" at number 207 for one week in April 1977.

Hardcore '81 is an album by the Canadian hardcore punk band D.O.A.. It is considered by some to be the first time that a certain style of punk rock was labeled hardcore.
Gone Fishin' is the second studio album by San Francisco-based punk rock band Flipper, released in 1984 by Subterranean Records. The album's artwork featured a depiction of Flipper's tour van as a ready-to-cut-out-and-assemble centerpiece, with similar cutouts of the four band members on the back cover. At the time of the album's release, Subterranean offered extra empty covers of the album by mail order for $2 for those Flipper fans that wanted to have a cover to cut up and assemble. The album was reissued by Water Records on December 9, 2008, for the first time on CD, with liner notes provided by Buzz Osborne of the Melvins.

It was released in 1992 on band member Joe Keithley's own record label, Sudden Death Records, and also in the UK on Alternative Tentacles. In spite of its title, the album actually had fourteen tracks – the last one not being numbered on the CD inlay.
