The podcast is about COVID-19 denialism. [8] The podcast focuses on Rachel McKibbens and her relationship with her father and brother. [9] Rachel investigates the last few months of her father and brother's lives. [10] [11] Rachel, her husband, and her children were all vaccinated, but her father and brother were not. [12] [13] Rachel's father died of COVID-19 and her brother died of COVID-19 two weeks later. [14] The first episode discusses how Rachel tried convincing her brother to seek medical attention when he had COVID-19. [15]

The Clearing is a 2019 true crime podcast about April Balascio, daughter of American serial killer Edward Wayne Edwards. It premiered on 18 July 2019 and is a production of Pineapple Street Media and Gimlet Media. In 2009, April began to suspect her father of the 1980 murder of Tim Hack and Kelly Drew. Following her report to the police, Edwards was arrested and confessed to several other murders. He later became the subject of conspiracy theories accusing him of involvement in famous unsolved crimes. Featuring interviews from April and private recordings made by Edwards while he was living, The Clearing discusses April's journey to discover the truth about her father's life.

Rachel Fairburn is an English comedian. She was born in Harpurhey, Manchester and attended St Monica's High School. She is co-host of the hit comedy podcast All Killa No Filla along with fellow comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean. All Killa No Filla has been named one of the top eight true crime podcasts of 2018 by The Independent, Esquire 's number two 'Best True Crime Podcast' in 2018 and one of the best podcast of 2018 by The Guardian. Time cited their podcast as an example of how female comedians are talking about their experiences in the #MeToo era. Fairburn and Pritchard-McLean launched their podcast in 2014.
