We the Fallen is the fourth studio album by American band Psyclon Nine. The album was released on September 8, 2009, through Metropolis Records. [2] [3] This is the first album released by Psyclon Nine with new members Vlixx and Jon Siren. [4]

The concept behind We the Fallen created by frontman Nero Bellum was the idea of himself as a "heartworm". Bellum had begun to "look at people like emotional parasites, worming their way into the hearts of their victims in order to have some sort of influence on their actions." The album takes a dark view on the concept of love and relationships. [5]

Psyclon Nine is an American band formed in 2000 in San Francisco, CA, known for their unique blend of electronic, industrial metal and black metal. Originally, Psyclon Nine's music was Terror EBM with melancholic darkwave/Gothic atmospheres and black metal style vocals. However, the band has since evolved a more industrial/black metal sound.

Electro-industrial is a music genre that emerged from industrial music in the early 1980s. While EBM has a minimal structure and clean production, electro-industrial tends to have a grittier, complex and layered sound with a more experimental approach, too. The style was pioneered by Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, Numb, and other groups, either from Canada or the Benelux. In the early 1990s, the style spawned the dark electro genre, and in the mid-/late-1990s, the aggrotech offshoot. The fan base for the style is linked to the rivethead subculture.

The album contains a cover of Ministry's "You Know What You Are". The original album cover was changed because of nudity. It was only sold in European stores. Sirens and Sailors is an American metalcore band from Rochester, New York, that formed in 2005. They released two EPs and two albums; their latest release was a single entitled "I'm Not Sorry", which was released on August, 2019. The band was formerly represented by Tragic Hero Records during 2012 as reported by Alternative Press. Sirens and Sailors have shared the stage with numerous national acts including Hundredth, Stray From the Path, My Ticket Home, Escape the Fate, and Ice Nine Kills. Sirens and Sailors was previously managed by Cory Hajde of The Artery Foundation. The band was previously signed to Artery Recordings and Razor & Tie, but has been dropped from any label support. Heartworms is the fifth studio album by American rock band The Shins, released by Columbia Records on March 10, 2017—the band's first studio album in five years. It was produced by James Mercer, with the exception of "So Now What", which was produced by former band member Richard Swift. The album art is based on the Japanese Ukiyo-e triptych Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre.
