Stratford-upon-Avon, commonly known as just Stratford, is a market town and civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district, in the county of Warwickshire, in the West Midlands region of England. It is situated on the River Avon, 91 miles (146 km) north-west of London, 22 miles (35 km) south-east of Birmingham and 8 miles (13 km) south-west of Warwick. The town is the southernmost point of the Arden area on the edge of the Cotswolds. The estimated population in 2020 was 30,824; an increase from 27,894 in the 2011 census and 22,338 in the 2001 Census.

It lies in the administrative district of Stratford-on-Avon in the area known as the Vale of the Red Horse. The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book as "Octeselve" and has a 12th-century church dedicated to Saint Lawrence. The indentions in the chancel window mullions are believed by many to be the marks made by local archers sharpening their arrowheads. Because of the holiness and sacredness of the church, the blessed arrows were also presumed to have divine accuracy.

Arrow is a village in the Stratford-on-Avon district of Warwickshire, England. Together with the entirely rural hamlet of Weethley, it forms since 1 April 2004 the civil parish of Arrow with Weethley. The parish lies midway between Redditch and Evesham. From Alcester the River Arrow flows southwards to the river Avon, and to the west of the river the present road to Evesham joins that to Worcester at a busy junction where, near the Old Toll House, stands the hamlet of Arrow, a group of modernized black and white farm workers' cottages which have risen up the social scale to become homes for business people. Arrow with Weethley parish falls under the local government district and parliamentary constituency of Stratford-on-Avon, and the Church of England Diocese of Coventry. In 2001 the parish had a population of 208.
Arrow with Weethley is a civil parish in the Stratford-on-Avon district of Warwickshire, England. The parish lies midway between Redditch and Evesham. As its name suggests, it contains the villages of Arrow and Weethley. The parish was created on 1 April 2004 by the merger of the two formerly separate parishes. The parish's population was 226 as of the 2011 census. The parish falls under the Stratford-on-Avon District Council ward of Alcester & Rural, the Warwickshire County Council division of Alcester, and the parliamentary constituency of Stratford-on-Avon, whose MP since 2010 is Nadhim Zahawi of the Conservative Party. Ragley Hall is within the parish.
Avon Dassett is a village and civil parish in the Stratford district of Warwickshire, England, nestling among the Burton Dassett Hills about four miles east of Kineton and seven miles north of Banbury in Oxfordshire. According to the 2001 and the 2011 censuses it had a population of 210. Israel Tonge was at one stage appointed rector of Avon Dassett - although according to Tonge "illegall practices" prevented him taking up the position. Avon Carrow is located in Avon Dassett, the former residence of John Profumo, the local MP in the 1960s. He was central to the Profumo affair, a sex and spy scandal in that era.
Spernall is a remote village 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Alcester in the parish of Oldberrow, Morton Bagot, and Spernall, in the Stratford-on-Avon District of Warwickshire, England. In the 2001 Census it had a population of 153. It is situated on the banks of the small River Arrow, the name meaning Spera's border. Early forms of the name are Spernore. and Spernoure in the 1327 Subsidy Roll. The village consists only of the church and rectory and a few scattered farms and cottages. At some time between 1195 and 1361 the parish was largely depopulated by pestilence, so that many of the villein tenements, which had hitherto accounted for almost the whole population, came into the hands of freemen. This may well refer to the Black Death; the priest at Spernall, Nicholas atte Yate, died in 1349 and there was another institution in 1351. In the 17th century the population seems to have mainly consisted of substantial farmers, for in 1625 it is described as a place with 'few or no poor at all in it and many wealthy inhabitants', and the Hearth Tax returns (1662–74) show the high average of about 2.5 hearths per house. By 1696, there were only two yeomen with an estate of £10 a year or more.

Its parish includes the hamlet of Little Britain and part of Ardens Grafton, the greater part of which is in the neighbouring civil parish of Temple Grafton. The 2011 Census recorded Exhall parish's population as 203. Exhall is on Hay Brook, a tributary of the River Arrow. The civil parish neighbours those of Alcester and Wixford, with which it shares both an ecclesiastical parish and a cricket club.
Milcote is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Clifford Chambers and Milcote, in the Stratford-on-Avon district, in Warwickshire, England. It falls within the ecclesiastical parish of All Saints Church. It was made up of Upper Milcote or Milcote-on-Stour, site of Mount Grevill manor, and Lower Milcote or Milcote-on-Avon. Milcote was one of the estates which Ceolred of Mercia is said to have granted to Evesham Abbey in 710. It was then appropriated by the bishop of Worcester, recovered by abbot Aethelwig, seized again by bishop Odo of Bayeux and never returned to the Abbey. Much later it passed to the Greville family. In 2001 it had a population of 55.
