Weighted Mind is a country and bluegrass album by Sierra Hull. It earned her a Grammy Award nomination for Best Folk Album in December 2016. [1] The spartan arrangements center on Hull's vocals and mandolin accompanied by Ethan Jodziewicz on double bass, with occasional backing vocals by Alison Krauss, Abigail Washburn, and Rhiannon Giddens. The album was produced by Béla Fleck. [2] [3]

Alison Maria Krauss is an American bluegrass-country singer and musician. She entered the music industry at an early age, winning local contests by the age of 10 and recording for the first time at 14. She signed with Rounder Records in 1985 and released her first solo album in 1987. She was invited to join the band with which she still performs, Alison Krauss and Union Station, and later released her first album with them as a group in 1989.

Abigail Washburn American banjo player and singer

Abigail Washburn is an American clawhammer banjo player and singer. She performs and records as a soloist, as well as with the old-time bands Uncle Earl and Sparrow Quartet, experimental group The Wu Force, and as a duo with her husband Béla Fleck.

Rhiannon Giddens American musician

Rhiannon Giddens is an American musician. She is a founding member of the country, blues and old-time music band Carolina Chocolate Drops, where she is the lead singer, violinist, and banjo player.
