The Wells Fargo Center, formerly known as Norwest Center, is the third-tallest building in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after the IDS Center and the Capella Tower. Completed in 1988, it is 774 feet (235.6 m) tall. For many years, this was believed to be one foot shorter than Capella, but that structure actually had a different height. Norwest Center was designed with a modernized art deco style by César Pelli, reflecting nearby structures such as the nearby CenturyLink Building and the Foshay Tower, which is several blocks away. It is also considered by many to be a homage to 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.

Originally named Wachovia Center, the building served as the corporate headquarters of Wachovia bank from 1995, the year of the tower's construction, to 2001, the year the corporation merged with First Union and moved its headquarters to Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the tallest building in the Piedmont Triad region and was the tallest in the Carolinas outside Charlotte until 2008, when RBC Plaza was completed in Raleigh.

Its address is 777 Main Street, and it takes up the block bounded by Commerce Street, East 7th Street, Main Street, and Northeast 6th Street. The building stands at the site where the demolished Aviation Building existed between 1930 and 1978. Typical floorplates for this building are 23,000 square feet (2,100 m2).
Bank of America Tower is a building in Fort Worth, Texas. At 547 feet, it is the second tallest building in Fort Worth. It has 38 floors. It was completed in 1984. It is surrounded by Calhoun Street, East 2nd Street, Commerce Street, and East 3rd Street. It is the taller of the two towers in the City Center Towers Complex. The two buildings are similar in that they resemble pinwheels, but they are not true twins. The building was formerly the headquarters of D. R. Horton, a home construction company, and it is now primarily occupied by Bank of America.
