Wenatchee is the county seat and most populous city of Chelan County, Washington, United States. The population within the city limits in 2010 was 31,925, and has increased to 35,508 as of 2020. Located in the north-central part of the state, at the confluence of the Columbia and Wenatchee rivers near the eastern foothills of the Cascade Range, Wenatchee lies on the western side of the Columbia River, across from the city of East Wenatchee. The Columbia River forms the boundary between Chelan and Douglas County. Wenatchee is the principal city of the Wenatchee–East Wenatchee, Washington Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Chelan and Douglas counties. However, the "Wenatchee Valley Area" generally refers to the land between Rocky Reach and Rock Island Dam on both banks of the Columbia, which includes East Wenatchee, Rock Island, and Malaga, as well as the surrounding towns of Monitor and Cashmere to the west of Wenatchee.

Elvin "Al" Worley was an American football player and coach, a defensive back for the University of Washington Huskies from 1966–68. Worley was named a consensus All-American in 1968, when he set an NCAA record of 14 interceptions in a season. He played for one season for the Seattle Rangers of the Continental Football League in 1969.

The 2014 Stanford Cardinal football team represented Stanford University in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Cardinal were led by fourth-year head coach David Shaw. They played their home games at Stanford Stadium and were members of the North Division of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 8–5, 5–4 in Pac-12 play to finish in second place in the North Division. They were invited to the Foster Farms Bowl where they defeated Maryland.

Paul S. Seale is an American former gridiron football player and coach. He played Canadian football professionally for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1963 to 1965. He won the Grey Cup with them in 1964. Seale played college football at Wenatchee Valley College and Oregon State University.

It is the first team to play in the Wenatchee Valley since the Wenatchee Valley Venom of the Indoor Football League in 2011. They are owned by Hook Sports Media, LLC.
