Wenn alles richtig ist, dann stimmt was nich ("When Everything's Right, Something's Wrong") is a studio album by German pop singer Nena, released on 6 July 1998. [1] It marks a return to a more rock-oriented sound. [2] Peaking at No. 42 on the German charts, [3] it is one of Nena's least successful albums.
Nena is a German singer-songwriter, actress, and comedian who rose to international fame in 1983 with the Neue Deutsche Welle song "99 Luftballons". In 1984, she re-recorded this song in English as "99 Red Balloons". Nena was also the name of the band with whom she released the song. The re-recording of some of her old songs rekindled her career in 2002 and she has sold over 25 million records, making her one of Germany's most successful music artists.
The only official single from this album is "Was hast du in meinem Traum gemacht". [4] It peaked at No. 91 and only stayed in the charts for one week, [5] making little impact. Another two tracks – "Das ist normal" and "Dann fiel mir auf" – were released as promotional singles, [1] and Nena performed still another track ("Wenn wenigstens Sommer wär") in the German TV drama series Die Affäre Semmeling . [6]
Die Affäre Semmeling was a 2002 German teleplay, broadcast on ZDF, directed by Dieter Wedel. It starred Mario Adorf as Walter 'Beton-Walter' Wegener, Robert Atzorn as Dr. Klaus Hennig, Heinz Hoenig as Axel Ropert, Stefan Kurt as Sigi Semmeling and Heike Makatsch as Silke Semmeling.
