"Fast Food Song" is a song made famous by British-based band Fast Food Rockers, although it existed long before they recorded it, as a popular children's playground song. The chorus is based on the Moroccan folk tune "A Ram Sam Sam" and mentions fast food restaurant chains McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut.
"Feel Good Inc." is a song by British virtual band Gorillaz featuring American hip-hop group De La Soul. Released on 9 May 2005 as the lead single from the band's second studio album, Demon Days, the single peaked at No. 2 in the United Kingdom and No. 14 in the United States, topping the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart for eight consecutive weeks and appearing on the Billboard Hot 100 year-end rankings for both 2005 and 2006. The song peaked within the top 10 in 16 countries, reaching No. 1 in Spain, Poland and Greece, and has been certified five times platinum in Canada and triple-platinum in the United Kingdom.
"Switch" is a song by American actor and rapper Will Smith. It was released on February 14, 2005, as the first single from his fourth studio album, Lost and Found (2005), via Interscope Records. Smith co-wrote the song with Kwame "K1 Mil", who also produced the track, and Lennie Bennett. Upon its release, the single topped the Australian Singles Chart, peaked at number seven on the US Billboard Hot 100, and became a top-10 hit in several other countries.
"Belly Dancer (Bananza)" is the fourth single from R&B singer Akon's debut studio album, Trouble. "Belly Dancer (Bananza)" peaked at number 30 on the Billboard Hot 100. Outside of the United States, "Belly Dancer (Bananza)" peaked within the top ten of the charts in the United Kingdom. The song samples "The Lunatics (Have Taken Over the Asylum)" by Fun Boy Three and "Body Rock" by Treacherous Three, and borrows from the chorus of "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield. It was used in the 2009 teen comedy film Fired Up!. A remix of the track, featuring Kardinal Offishall, was later included as a B-side to "Pot of Gold".
"Get Busy" is a dancehall song by Jamaican reggae deejay Sean Paul, from his album Dutty Rock. The song was one of the many hits from the jumpy handclap riddim known as the Diwali Riddim, produced by then-newcomer Steven Marsden, and was the only song that never made the "Diwali" rhythm album on Greensleeves Records as it was more than likely a late entry.

"Big City Life" is a song by English electronic music duo Mattafix. With a chorus sung in Jamaican Patois, "Big City Life" was released in August 2005 as the second single from Mattafix's debut album, Signs of a Struggle (2005). The single topped the charts in Austria, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, and Switzerland, and it peaked at number 15 in the duo's native United Kingdom. The song's music video was directed by Scott Franklin.
"I Believe" is a song by American singer-songwriter Marcella Detroit, released on February 28, 1994, via London Records as the lead single from her second studio album, Jewel (1994). Written by Detroit and produced by Chris Thomas, the song went on to become Detroit's most successful single, peaking at number 11 in the United Kingdom, and achieved similar success internationally. Its highest peak on a national chart was in Australia, where it reached number 10.
"No No Never" was the German entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006, performed in English by Texas Lightning. While Germany had finished the 2005 contest in last place, their position as one of the Contest's "Big Four" ensured the song an automatic final berth. Thus, it was performed eighth on the night, following Malta's Fabrizio Faniello with "I Do" and preceding Denmark's Sidsel Ben Semmane with "Twist of Love". At the close of voting, it had received 36 points, placing 14th in a field of 24.
"Turn Me On" is the debut single of Vincentian singer Kevin Lyttle. It was the lead single from his self-titled debut album. The song was originally a soca ballad released in 2002 on the VP Records sublabel Waist Line Muzik, remade into a dance hit for the US release. Featuring Spragga Benz in the radio remix, "Turn Me On" became a worldwide hit, reaching number one in Denmark and peaking within the top 10 in 16 other countries.
"Living to Love You" is a song by German singer–songwriter Sarah Connor from her fourth studio album, Naughty but Nice (2005). It was written and produced by Rob Tyger and Kay Denar and released as the album's lead single on 8 November 2004. The song reached number one in Germany and Switzerland, becoming Connor's third consecutive chart-topper on the German Singles Chart and fourth overall. "Living to Love You" was the 39th-best-selling single of 2004 and the 35-best-selling single of 2005 in Germany.
"From Zero to Hero" is a song by German recording artist Sarah Connor, written and produced by Rob Tyger and Kay Denar for Connor's fourth studio album, Naughty but Nice (2005). The song was released on 7 March 2005 as the album's second and final single and moreover served as the European theme song for the 2005 20th Century Fox animated film Robots, in which Connor voiced the character of Cappy. It became Connor's fifth number-one hit in Germany, staying atop the German Singles Chart for three nonconsecutive weeks.
"Ein Stern " is a song by Austrian singers DJ Ötzi and Nik P. It was released in February 2007 as the lead single from the album Sternstunden. The song reached number one in Germany, where it stayed for 11 weeks, and in Austria despite that at the time of its release, several popular radio stations in Austria and Germany refused to play the song because its genre did not fit their programme style. The song is Germany's best-selling single of the 2000s decade, and it has sold more than two million copies.
"Obsesión" is a song by Dominican-American bachata band Aventura with Judy Santos as the female vocalist. It was included on their second studio album, We Broke the Rules (2002), and an English-language version was made for the same album.
"The Spirit of the Hawk" is a song by Swedish musical group Rednex released from their second album, Farm Out (2000). The lyrics include the spoken lines "My people, some of them, have run away to the hills, and have no shelter, no food. No one knows where they are. Hear me, my chiefs! I am tired; my heart is sick and sad. I will fight no more.", taken from Chief Joseph's famous speech.
"I Like" is a song by American singer Keri Hilson. It was written and produced by German musicians David Jost and Robin Grubert and recorded by Hilson for the soundtrack for the German film Zweiohrküken (2009). The track was later also featured on a re-released edition of Hilson's 2009 studio album In a Perfect World.... The song debuted at number 1 on the official German Top 100 Singles chart and was eventually certified Platinum by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI). After its success in Germany, the song entered many other charts in Mainland Europe.
Willst du mit mir gehn is a studio album by German singer Nena. It was released by Warner Music on 21 March 2005 in German-speaking Europe. The singer reunited with former band mate Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen to work on the album. A two-CD set, the Rot disc of the album was recorded in a Berlin studio, while the Orange disc was produced during a jam sessions on Majorca.
"Kuschel Song" is the debut single of German animated rabbit Schnuffel. Originally published by Jamba! as a ringtone, it was turned into a song by Sebastian Nussbaum and Andreas Marek-Wendorf. Released on 8 February 2008, "Kuschel Song" debuted at the top of the German Singles Chart, staying there for eight weeks, and was certified platinum by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (BVMI) for 300,000 copies sold. After topping the Austrian Singles Chart and reaching number two in Switzerland, the song was released internationally. "Kuschel Song" was later included as the second track on Schnuffel's debut album, Ich hab' Dich lieb, released the same year.
"Move in the Right Direction" is a song by American indie rock band Gossip, released as the second single from their fifth studio album, A Joyful Noise (2012). The song found some success in Europe, reaching number two in Poland and number three in Austria and Hungary. The accompanying music video was directed by Price James.
"Es ist geil ein Arschloch zu sein" is the debut single of German singer and Big Brother Germany contestant Christian. Following his brief and controversial tenure on the programme, Christian quit the show and capitalised on his notoriety in Germany to record the track, which was written by Steve van Velvet and produced by Bülent Aris in Hamburg, Germany.
