West Fork, Missouri

West Fork is an unincorporated community in Reynolds County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] The community lies on south bank of the West Fork of the Black River adjacent to the confluence of Toms Creek with the Black. The community lies approximately six miles east-northeast of Bunker on Missouri Route KK. [2]

History

The West Fork post office was discontinued in 1954. [3] The community takes its name from West Fork Black River. [4]

The community is on the South Prong of Jacks Fork at the intersection of Missouri Route HH and Varvel Road. The community of Sargent is approximately 3.5 miles to the west on Varvel Road and Willow Springs in adjacent Howell County is about seven miles south on route HH and Missouri Route 137. Varvel School was about three miles east along the north bank of the river.
