Yeovil is a town and civil parish in Somerset, England. The population of Yeovil at the last census (2021) was 49,698. It is close to Somerset's southern border with Dorset, 126 miles (203 km) west of London, 41.8 miles (67.3 km) south of Bristol, 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Sherborne and 27.6 miles (44.4 km) east of Taunton. The aircraft and defence industries which developed in the 20th century made it a target for bombing in the Second World War; they are still major employers. Yeovil Country Park, which includes Ninesprings, is one of several open spaces with educational, cultural and sporting facilities. Religious sites include the 14th-century Church of St John the Baptist. The town is on the A30 and A37 roads and has two railway stations.

Johnson Park is a multi-purpose sports ground on the northern outskirts of Yeovil, Somerset and is home to the Yeovil Sports and Social Club. The main website can be found at: www.yeovilsportsclub.co.uk. Between 1951 and 1967, Somerset County Cricket Club played 12 first-class cricket matches on the ground, and Somerset also played two List A matches there, one each in 1969 and 1970. The ground was named after Stanley Johnson, a local benefactor, who donated the field for use by the community for sports purposes in 1948. Johnson Park is still, technically, the home of Yeovil Cricket Club although the team actually disbanded a number of years ago. For many years Johnson Park was also home to Yeovil Rugby Club who moved to new premises at Yeovil Showground and established the Ivel Barbarians rugby team in the 1990s. Johnson Park is currently home to Yeovil Tennis Club www.yeoviltennisclub.co.uk, Pen Mill Football Club and Yeo Bowmen Archery Club. It is also the base for a number of other organisations and has a thriving social element.
Devonshire Park Ground is a cricket ground in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset. It hosted two List A cricket matches for Somerset County Cricket Club; one in 1969, and the other the following year. It has also been the venue for a number of matches for Somerset's second XI, hosting a Minor Counties Championship match in 1972, and eight other second XI matches between 1986 and 1991. It is the home ground for Weston-super-Mare Cricket Club, who have played on the ground since at least 1928.
North Perrott Cricket Club Ground is a former List A cricket ground located in North Perrott, Somerset. It hosted a single Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy match in 2001 between Somerset Cricket Board and Wales Minor Counties. The ground has also been used by Somerset County Cricket Club and Board for numerous other matches. It has also hosted the Somerset women's cricket team occasionally since 2005. The ground is home to North Perrott Cricket Club, and has been since its creation in 1946.

West Hendford Cricket Ground was a first-class cricket ground in Yeovil, Somerset. The land for the ground was first leased by Yeovil Cricket Club in 1874 and was also used for a range of other sports, most significantly hosting Yeovil Rugby Club in the 1890s and then again from 1935 until the ground was closed. Significant improvements were made to the ground during the 1930s, including the opening of a new pavilion jointly funded by the Rugby and Cricket clubs. The ground was demolished in 1944 when Westland Aircraft extended their factory, and both Yeovil Cricket Club and Rugby Club moved to Johnson Park.
Rowdens Road is a former first-class cricket ground located in Wells, Somerset. The ground was an early home to Wells Cricket Club, though the club no longer plays there. Between 1935–1939 and 1946–1951, the ground hosted annual Somerset County Cricket Club matches. In the first first-class match at the ground in 1935, Somerset were dismissed by Worcestershire for just 56; a factor may have been that the match was played under what Wisden Cricketers' Almanack termed "novel conditions". It went on: "There were no sight-screens, and the match details were broadcast from the scorers' box by means of a microphone and loud-speakers."
Knowle Cricket Club Ground is a cricket ground in Bristol. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1894, when Knowle played Frenchay. In 1926 the ground held its first first-class match when Somerset played Hampshire in the County Championship. The following season the ground held a further first-class match when Somerset played Worcestershire. The final first-class match held at the ground came in 1928 when Somerset played Essex.
Taunton Vale Sports Club is a multi use community sports club located in Taunton, Somerset. Taunton Vale HC, Taunton Cricket and Taunton Vale Tennis Club are the resident sports clubs. It is also the regular home venue of both Somerset County Cricket Club's Second XI, Somerset CCC also holding many of their games against MCC Universities teams at the ground, which have so far included two first-class matches, in 2012 and 2015.
The Yeovil–Taunton line was a railway line in England, built by the Bristol and Exeter Railway (B&ER) to connect its main line with the market town of Yeovil in Somerset. It opened in 1853 using the broad gauge of 7 ft 1⁄4 in and was the first railway to serve Yeovil. It ran from a junction at Durston although in later years passenger trains on the line ran through to and from Taunton where better main and branch line connections could be made.

The Desert Springs Cricket Ground is a sports ground in Cuevas del Almanzora, Almería, Spain. In September 2019, it was selected to host Germany's tour of Spain in March 2020, which included two Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket matches between Spain and Germany. The ground has also been used by Derbyshire, Lancashire and Somerset for training ahead of the start of the cricket season in England. In April 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) gave accreditation for the stadium to host One Day International (ODI) cricket matches.

The tournament was organised by the Kingston Park Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club, and held on the cricket grounds, Kingston Park, Kingston Maurward House, Dorchester, Dorset, England. The tournament was held to at least 1885.
