Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) is an American architectural, urban planning and engineering firm. It was founded in 1936 by Louis Skidmore and Nathaniel Owings in Chicago. In 1939, they were joined by engineer John Merrill. The firm opened its second office, in New York City, in 1937 and has since expanded, with additional offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., London, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seattle, and Dubai.

The Weyerhaeuser Office Building is a building located in Everett, Washington, that was once listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was built in 1923. Weyerhaeuser, at the time the largest employer in Everett, commissioned architect Carl Gould to design a 6,000-square-foot (560 m2) building that would showcase local wood varieties such as fir, cedar, and hemlock. The building houses a two-story, concrete-and-steel, 160 ton vault that was originally used to store the company payroll. The Gothic-style structure was erected at the company's first Everett plant, known as Mill A.
Mission Acres was a rural community in the northern San Fernando Valley. The Queens Building was an office building at London Heathrow Airport next to Heathrow Terminal 2. It was opened in 1955 by Queen Elizabeth II and was demolished in 2009 to make room for a rebuilt Terminal 2. It was the location of the operational offices of BAA until demolition.
