The White Horse Whisky Challenge was a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour held near London in England. [1]
In 1980 the tournament was held at Finchley Golf Club in the London Borough of Barnet, and in 1981 at Dyrham Park Golf Club in the same borough. In 1983, it was played at Selsdon Park in Croydon, south London, and in 1984 at Burnham Beeches Golf Club near Slough west of central London.

The Ladies European Tour is a professional golf tour for women which was founded in 1978. Most of the players on the tour are European, with members from more than 40 countries internationally. Despite its name, the tour also has tournaments in Africa, Asia, North America and Oceania.
The Women's Open is a major championship in women's professional golf. It is recognised by both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour as a major. The reigning champion is Lydia Ko, who won at the 2024 tournament.
The South African Open is one of the oldest national open golf championships in the world, having first been played in 1903, and is one of the principal tournaments on the Southern-Africa-based Sunshine Tour. Since 1997 it has also been co-sanctioned by the European Tour.

The Bob Hope British Classic was the original and most often used name of a European Tour golf tournament which was played in England every year but one from 1980 to 1991. Marie-Laure de Lorenzi is a French professional golfer, also known by her married name Marie-Laure Taya. She won 19 tournaments in a span of eleven seasons on the Ladies European Tour, putting her third, later tied third, on the all-time list of number of wins on the tour.
