Why? is the fourth and final album by British drummer Ginger Baker. It was released in 2014 on Motema Music, and is his first solo album in 16 years. [2]
Peter Edward "Ginger" Baker was an English drummer and a co-founder of the rock band Cream. His work in the 1960s earned him the reputation of "rock's first superstar drummer", while his individual style melded a jazz background with African rhythms. He is credited as having been a pioneer of drumming in such genres as jazz fusion and world music.
Alfred "Pee Wee" Ellis is an American saxophonist, composer and arranger. With a background in jazz, he was an important member of James Brown's band in the 1960s, appearing on many of Brown's most notable recordings and co-writing hits like "Cold Sweat" and "Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud". He also worked closely with Van Morrison.
