Wilde-Donald Guerrier (born 31 March 1989) is a Haitian professional footballer who plays as a left winger or left-back. He has played abroad in Poland, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Cyprus and Lithuania. [2]

Club career

Haiti

Guerrier started his career in Haiti for Violette AC. After being relegated to the second division, Guerrier decided to leave the club for a first division team, which led him to América des Cayes. [3]

Qarabağ

On 6 July 2017, Guerrier signed a two-year contract with Qarabağ FK. [4]

Guerrier appeared in all of Qarabağ's six 2017–18 Champions League qualifiers, as they became the first team from Azerbaijan to reach the group stage of the competition. [5] [6]

On 16 July 2019, Guerrier left Qarabağ. [7]

Neftçi PFK

On 5 September 2019, Guerrier signed a one-year contract with Neftçi PFK. [8] On 1 June 2020, Neftçi announced that Guerrier had left the club after his contract expired. [9]

Return to Qarabağ

On 2 July 2020, Qarabağ announced the return of Guerrier from Neftçi. [10] On 31 January 2021, Guerrier left Qarabağ by mutual consent. [11]

Later career

In November 2021 Guerrier joined Wieczysta Kraków of the IV Liga, the Polish fifth tier, joining up with Franciszek Smuda, his former manager at Wisła Kraków. [12] He signed a contract until the end of the season with the option for a further season. [12]

Olympiakos Nicosia

In August 2022 he signed a one-year contract with Cypriot top-tier club Olympiakos Nicosia.

Zira

On 29 January 2023, Zira announced the signing of Guerrier to a six-month contract, with the option of an additional year, from Olympiakos Nicosia. [13] On 14 June 2023, Zira announced the departure of Guerrier. [14]

International Career

Guerrier made his debut for the Haiti national team in 2010. He scored his first goal on 6 September 2011, the third of a 4-2 victory over Curaçao. [15]

Domestically, Qarabağ defended their Premier League, their eighth in nine years, and where knocked out of the Azerbaijan Cup by Gabala in the Quarterfinals. In European competition, Qarabağ began in the Champions League, where they reached the Playoff round before defeat to Viktoria Plzeň, meaning they dropped into the Group Stage of the Europa League. In the Europa League they finished third in their group behind SC Freiburg and Nantes, progressing to the Knockout round play-off of the Europa Conference League where they were eliminated by Gent on penalties.

The Zira FK 2022-23 season was Zira's eighth Azerbaijan Premier League season, and ninth season in their history.

The 2023–24 season is Qarabağ's 31st Azerbaijan Premier League season and their fifteenth season under manager Gurban Gurbanov. As well as the Azerbaijan Premier League, Qarabağ will also participate in the Azerbaijan Cup and the Champions League.
