Ronald William Clarke, AO, MBE was an Australian athlete, writer, and Mayor of the Gold Coast from 2004 to 2012. He was one of the best-known middle- and long-distance runners in the 1960s, notable for setting seventeen world records.
William Mervin Mills, also known as Tamakoce Te'Hila, is an Oglala Lakota former track and field athlete who won a gold medal in the 10,000 meter run (6.2 mi) at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. His 1964 victory is considered one of the greatest Olympic upsets because he was a virtual unknown going into the event. He was the first non-European to win the Olympic event and remains the only winner from the Americas. A United States Marine, Billy Mills is a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe.
Eldece Clarke-Lewis is a Bahamian sprints athlete. She was a part of the Bahamian team that won the silver medal in the 1996 Olympics 4 x 100 metres relay. She also ran in the preliminary rounds in the 2000 Olympics 4 x 100 meters relay in Sydney, this would later get her the gold medal as the Bahamian team won in the final.
James William George Roycroft, OBE was an Australian Olympic equestrian champion. He grew up on a dairy farm and learnt to ride horses there. After serving in the army in World War II, he moved with his family to a soldier's block in western Victoria near Camperdown, where he raised his three sons, all of whom went on to compete alongside their father in the Olympics. At his first Olympics, the 1960 Rome Games, he played a key role on the final day of the team three-day event, despite being thrown off his horse the day before, allowing Australia to win the gold medal in the competition. He went on to compete in four more Olympics from 1964 to 1976, winning bronze medals in team eventing at the 1968 Mexico City and 1976 Munich Games. He later served as coach of the Australian eventing team.

Christine "Chris" Clark is a retired female long-distance runner from the United States, who competed for her native country at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. There she ended up in 19th place in the women's marathon race. By virtue of winning the Olympic Trials, she was also the 2000 United States National Champion in the Marathon.

Clarke James Roycroft is an Australian equestrian. He is the third and youngest son of Bill Roycroft, an Olympic equestrian gold medallist, and his wife, Mavis. He competed in two events at the 1972 Summer Olympics. His brothers Barry Roycroft and Wayne Roycroft are also Olympians. After the Olympics he concentrated on his business ventures; in 2005 he was running a farm and Stock and station agency in the family's hometown of Camperdown. He has four children to Judy, whom he married around the time of the Olympics. In 2000, he received an Australian Sports Medal.
