He announced his retirement from inter-county football on 11 September 2018. Donaghy is also a long-time basketball player, currently playing for Tralee Warriors in the Irish Super League.

John O'Keeffe is a former Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Austin Stacks club and at senior level for the Kerry county team between 1969 and 1984. He was a highly talented midfielder, and one of the most stylish and accomplished full-backs in Gaelic football history. He later became the Irish international rules team manager.

Jack Ferriter is a former Gaelic footballer from Dingle, County Kerry. He was a member of several Kerry underage teams in the 1990s with Dingle CBS, Dingle GAA, and Kerry. He was described as a 'star' and a 'teen sensation' when Kerry won an All Ireland Minor title in 1994 with him as captain, and until 2014 was the last Kerry man to do so. Ferriter suffered a shoulder injury which curtailed a promising senior career with Kerry at a relatively early age.
Sean Hegarty was a Gaelic footballer from County Kerry. He had a brief career with the Kerry senior team during the 2001 National League. Before joining the senior team he played with the Kerry minor team in 1997 and won a Munster Championship title playing at center back. He then moved on to the Under 21 side in 1998 and won a Munster Championship, and later an All Ireland Championship. He won a second Munster Under 21 title in 1999 but lost in the All Ireland final to Westmeath. In 2006 he was captain of the Kerry Junior team that won Munster and All Ireland titles.

Thomas Moriarty was an Irish Gaelic footballer. At club level he played with Austin Stacks, Dohenys and Clonakilty and was a member of the Cork and Kerry senior football teams. Moriarty usually lined out as a midfielder.
