William Moseley (born July 29, 1986), known professionally as "Lucian Knight", is an American record producer, publicist and music industry executive.
William Moseley started his career as a radio personality in Florida. Moseley has worked on various music projects, television and film scoring, along with working with artists and labels in various capacity's usually cited as a reputation manager. [1] [2] [3]
In 2016, William Moseley co-founded Kingmaker. Kingmaker is the parent company to Kingmaker Music a company that offers support to artists, including assistance with music production, sync licensing, career management and with distribution through Virgin Music Group, the global independent music division of Universal Music Group. [4]
Moseley is the news and media director for Quantum Aerospace where he also serves as Spokesman for the companies partnership with Space Ark Media on the AstroVault Initiative. [5] According to Quantum Aerospace's official website Moseley's agency, Moseley + Koch is listed as a partner. [6] [5] [7]
In late 2016, Moseley teamed up with the Kottonmouth Kings to release a serious of collaboration songs with artists including Tech N9ne, Twiztid, Juicy J, Cypress Hill, Trizz, and others under the name Captain Chronic. [8]
On January 31, 2018, the Kottonmouth Kings announced via social media that the Kottonmouth Kings, Kingspade, and Solo Members had signed to Kingmaker Music under the management of Moseley. [9] The first release was titled "Who We" by Kingspade featuring Lucian Knight. In the video it was announced that Kingmaker would be releasing a new full-length Kottonmouth Kings album titled Kingdom Come on April 20 of that year. [10]
On October 4, 2023, it was announced through Taste of Country that Moseley had co-produced a new Joe Exotic album that was partially recorded from prison. [11] William Moseley also announced he would be taking over the management of Exotic's music catalog. [12] [13] [14]
In Late 2023 through 2024, William Moseley released a serious of albums of different genres that were reimagined as other genres of music with a strong focus on jazz. [15] [16] [17]
In 2024, Kingmaker announced the planned release of a new reggae and dancehall division with releases slated from Papua New Guinea artist Anslom, Tahlia Marley, and others. [18] [19] That same day Mykal Rose made a surprise announcement on social media that he would be working with William Moseley and signing to Kingmaker Music. [20] [2]
William Moseley produces, composes, and is a songwriter under the stage name Lucian Knight. He is a concert pianist that is known for blending genres. It was announced via social media that Kingmaker was releasing an album titled "Limitless Legacy" as a salute to No Limits Records. [21] Lucian Knight is credited on most of the songs. [22] [23]
According to the Willamette Week, Moseley is known in the state of Oregon for his charitable works usually geared toward helping the community, music organizations, and mental health. [24]
