Wilson Bugembe is a Ugandan gospel musician [1] and pastor at "The Worship House" https://theworshiphouseug.org in Nansana Wakiso District, Uganda. [2] [3]

Early life and education

Bugembe was born in 1984 Masaka to Mr and Mrs Kirabira. Bugembe was orphaned at an early age that saw him live part of his life on the streets. But he was able to attend school up to university where he studied for only one semester and dropped out. [4]

Music

Bugembe started singing professionally when he was 19 years old. He release his first album "Yellow". [5] His break through song was "Njagala Kumanya" which received airplay on top Radio and Television stations in Uganda. He has since had hit songs like "Komawo eka", "Bilibabitya", "Kani", "Bamuyita Yesu", "Yellow", "Lengera Embaata", "Komawo Eka", "Munaabe" and "Ani". [6] [7] [8] He has worked with Sylver Kyagulanyi Icha Kavons and Isaiah Katumwa. [9] He has released a number of albums like "Kani", "Ani", "Lengera Embaata", "Biribabitya" and "Ningirira". Jackie Akello is a Uganda singer-songwriter and entrepreneur with a coffee brand Village Belle which she launched in 2017. She sings in Acholi, Luganda, Swahili, and English. She is known for her hit love ballad "Amari", the gospel hit "Samanya" with Levixone, and the war-themed pop hit "Apwoyo". Akello is an Acholi from northern Uganda, and most of her songs, like "Apwoyo" talk about the suffering of the Acholi both during and after the Lord's Resistance Army war that left Acholis out of their homes for a long time.

Sandra Suubi is a Ugandan gospel musician and visual artist.

Matte Edgar, better known by his stage name Eddie Wizzy, is a Ugandan dancer and choreographer. He was nominated in the Afrimma Awards 2016 and 2017 in the African Best Dancer category.

Gabie Ntaate, also known as Gabriella Bridget Ntaate is a Ugandan gospel singer. She won Sauti Awards after beating six renowned continental gospel competitors for the crown. She also won the Zouk Song of the Year 2021 in the Royal Gospel Music Awards.

Justine Nabbosa is an award-winning Ugandan gospel artist, lead worshipper, and a co-pastor with Pastor Wilson Bugembe at Worship house, Nansana. She is best known for her 2016 album, Oli Katonda.
