Wings of Heaven Live is a live album by the English rock band Magnum, released in 2008 by SPV.

The album was recorded on the 20th anniversary tour of Magnum's Wings of Heaven album. The original album was released in 1988 and reached the Top 5 in the UK album charts achieving Silver status in the UK [2] for over 200,000 sales. The album was recorded on the Wings of Heaven Live UK tour, 10 November 2007 – 18 November 2007. The song "Different Worlds" was performed live for the very first time during this tour, and was never played by the band on the original Wings of Heaven tour in 1988.

The artwork was illustrated by Rodney Matthews following his sleeve design for Magnum's previous album Princess Alice and the Broken Arrow .

The album is dedicated to Kex Gorin, Magnum's original drummer, who died on 21 December 2007.

Chase the Dragon is the third studio album by English rock band Magnum. It was released in 1982 on Jet Records. Overseen by the Kansas producer Jeff Glixman, Chase the Dragon was the first recorded appearance by the new keyboard player Mark Stanway, although he had made his live debut at Magnum's appearance at the Reading Festival in 1980. The album was recorded over 13 days at Town House Studios in London, and the following year Tony Clarkin flew to Axis Studios in Atlanta to mix it. However, there was a two-year delay before the album's release in 1982. Many of the tracks have remained in Magnum's live set for many years, including "Soldier of the Line", "The Spirit" and "Sacred Hour".

Magnum II followed on from the success of Magnum's debut album, Kingdom of Madness. The album was produced by former Ten Years After bass player Leo Lyons, who had success with producing Phenomenon, Force It and No Heavy Petting for UFO. As with their debut album Kingdom of Madness, much of the material on Magnum II was already written and had already been previewed in Magnum's live set and were suitably "road tested". The album, however failed to chart on its release in October 1979. Both "Changes", released in September 1979, and "Foolish Heart", released in November 1979, were singles.

Tony Clarkin

Tony Clarkin is an English musician and record producer, best known as the guitarist of the rock band Magnum. He has been the sole songwriter throughout Magnum's history, writing all of the material on their 21 studio albums as well as on two studio albums by Magnum spin-off group Hard Rain.
