Winning is a Bangladeshi rock band that formed in Dhaka on 1 January 1983. [1] [2]

In the 70s some members of pop king Azam Khan's band decided to do some songs themselves. Then in 1983 the winning band was formed which consisted of Haider Hossain (Guitar & Vocals), Mitul (Guitar & Vocals), Ranjan (Drums & Vocals, Shelly (Bass Guitar), Rana (Keyboard), Faheem (English Vocals). They first participated in a TV program called Nirjar. Between 1984 and 1985, band members Mitul, Haider, Fahim and Rana migrated to America for a better life and studies. Then some members joined the band. In 1985 Babu joined on guitar and vocals, Reza on rhythm guitar and vocals, Reza Khan on guitar and keyboard and Biplab joined on keyboard in 1986.
Around 1986–87, Winning Band began searching for their original vocalist. They kept James of the present Nagar Baul band to practice with the band for some time. Later in 1987 Chandan joined the band as guitarist and vocalist. In 1988, Ranjan was injured while playing cricket and broke his finger and was no longer able to play the drums. In this situation, Tipu joined the band as a drummer. In 1991, their self-titled album Winning was released and Babu and Reza left the band. Then Biplab and Sajal Manager joined the band as new members on keyboards.
The years 1991 to 1994 were the band's most successful period. During this time they participated in various concerts. In 1994, the band broke up again. Ranjan decided to take a break from the band, Shelly started his career in a tea plantation in Sylhet and Sajal got busy with his business. At that time Mobin joined the band who was later killed in a road accident. In 1994, the band's 2nd album Unknown City was released. From 1995 to 1997, the band underwent many changes. Tipu left the band and was replaced by Eamon, Mobin left the band to work as a sound engineer. During this time, Miles worked briefly in the band Jewel, a member of the band. Eventually, Morshed Baez joined the band as guitarist and vocalist and guitarist Russell joined the band. In 1998, Eamon left the band and Chandan moved to England for higher education for 1 year. During this time, the band's activities stalled. In 2000, Winning Band's Nescafé Unplugged concert at the Sheraton was a huge success.

Iron Butterfly is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California, in 1966. They are best known for the 1968 hit "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida", providing a dramatic sound that led the way towards the development of hard rock and heavy metal music. Ancient is a Norwegian black metal band from Bergen, formed in 1992. The band released six full-length albums released by Metal Blade Records to date and a variety of mini-albums, EPs and special releases. Ancient used to have the classic raw black metal sound, similar to Darkthrone's works. Beginning with The Cainian Chronicle, they moved towards a more Nordic/atmospheric black metal sound, akin to Emperor and a cleaner production. After a period of turmoil concerning their line-up, they went on to add gothic-style instruments such as violins, a female vocalist, and synthesizers to their music.

The Wilde Flowers were an English psychedelic rock band from Canterbury, Kent. Formed in 1964, the group originally featured lead vocalist Kevin Ayers, lead guitarist and co-lead vocalist Brian Hopper, rhythm guitarist and vocalist Richard Sinclair, bassist Hugh Hopper and drummer Robert Wyatt. Despite not releasing any material during their brief three-year tenure, the band are generally considered to be the originators of the Canterbury scene. After their breakup in 1969, the group's members went on to form numerous key bands within the scene, including Soft Machine, Caravan and Camel.

Ark is a Bangladeshi rock band formed in 1991 in Dhaka City by keyboardist Ashiquzzaman Tulu. The original founder members are Ashiquzzaman Tulu, Ridwan Nabi Pancham and Shamim. As of 2017, the band line-up re-consists of lead vocalist Syed Hasanur Rahman, keyboardist Tinku Azizur Rahman and drummer Hassan Towhidur Rahman.
Admonish is a Swedish unblack metal band formed in 1994. They were one of the first bands in the Christian black metal movement and the first Christian black metal group in Sweden. While the band did not release anything until 2005, the magazine Metal Hammer called Admonish "One of the leading Christian black metal bands" in a 1990s issue which focused on black metal. In 2006 Admonish achieved some mainstream notice when the twins Emil (guitar) and Jonas Karlsson (bass) both appeared on the MTV Europe show Pimp My Ride International on 6 October. On that show, in which their car was modified, the twins advertised their band and Admonish's music was played. The former Admonish member Per Sundberg was also a guitar-player in Crimson Moonlight.
The Milestones were a Pakistani pop rock band that formed in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, in 1990. The group was formed by lead guitarist, Ziyyad Gulzar and bassist, Ali Tim, who were soon joined by female lead vocalist, Candy Pereira. The Milestones were one of the pioneer bands of the local pop music scene, quite a few of which even did well at the local music charts. Since its inception, the band only released two studio albums with performing innumerable concerts and gigs, receiving worldwide acclaim.
