Winning is a Bangladeshi rock band that formed in Dhaka on 1 January 1983. [1] [2]

In the 70s some members of pop king Azam Khan's band decided to do some songs themselves. Then in 1983 the winning band was formed which consisted of Haider Hossain (Guitar & Vocals), Mitul (Guitar & Vocals), Ranjan (Drums & Vocals, Shelly (Bass Guitar), Rana (Keyboard), Faheem (English Vocals). They first participated in a TV program called Nirjar. Between 1984 and 1985, band members Mitul, Haider, Fahim and Rana migrated to America for a better life and studies. Then some members joined the band. In 1985 Babu joined on guitar and vocals, Reza on rhythm guitar and vocals, Reza Khan on guitar and keyboard and Biplab joined on keyboard in 1986.
Around 1986–87, Winning Band began searching for their original vocalist. They kept James of the present Nagar Baul band to practice with the band for some time. Later in 1987 Chandan joined the band as guitarist and vocalist. In 1988, Ranjan was injured while playing cricket and broke his finger and was no longer able to play the drums. In this situation, Tipu joined the band as a drummer. In 1991, their self-titled album Winning was released and Babu and Reza left the band. Then Biplab and Sajal Manager joined the band as new members on keyboards.
The years 1991 to 1994 were the band's most successful period. During this time they participated in various concerts. In 1994, the band broke up again. Ranjan decided to take a break from the band, Shelly started his career in a tea plantation in Sylhet and Sajal got busy with his business. At that time Mobin joined the band who was later killed in a road accident. In 1995, the band's 2nd album "Ochena Shohor" was released. From 1995 to 1997, the band underwent many changes. Tipu left the band and was replaced by Eamon, Mobin left the band to work as a sound engineer. Eventually, Morshed Baez joined the band as guitarist and vocalist and guitarist Russell joined the band. In 1998, Eamon left the band and Chandan moved to England for higher education for 1 year. During this time, the band's activities stalled. In 2000, Winning Band's Nescafé Unplugged concert at the Sheraton was a huge success.

Ancient is a Norwegian black metal band from Bergen, formed in 1992. The band released six full-length albums released by Metal Blade Records to date and a variety of mini-albums, EPs and special releases. Ancient used to have the classic raw black metal sound, similar to Darkthrone's works. Beginning with The Cainian Chronicle, they moved towards a more Nordic/atmospheric black metal sound, akin to Emperor and a cleaner production. After a period of turmoil concerning their line-up, they went on to add gothic-style instruments such as violins, a female vocalist, and synthesizers to their music.

Audio Adrenaline was an American Christian rock band that formed in 1986 at Kentucky Christian University in Grayson, Kentucky. The band gained recognition during the 1990s and received two Grammy Awards and multiple Dove Awards. Audio Adrenaline were regular performers at the annual Creation Festival, Spirit West Coast festival, Agape Music Festival, and Alive Festival. In 2007, the group disbanded due to lead singer Mark Stuart's spasmodic dysphonia. During this time, they released eight studio albums.

Sheikh Monirul Alam Tipu is a Bangladeshi musician, known as a rhythm composer, drummer, lyricist, and music producer. He is best known as the co-founder and Band Leader of Warfaze, a popular heavy metal and rock band from Bangladesh. Tipu has been with Warfaze for a year since its formation in 1986, providing drums play, percussion play, and rhythm composition for all eight of the band's music albums. He is also known for playing in the band “Pentagon” and “Winning” which garnered huge success. He served as the General Secretary of Bangladesh Musical Bands' Association (BAMBA) until November 2020 and has since held the position of Vice President which he still holds currently. He is also a Business Entrepreneur who is running an Advertising Agency named Carnival in Bangladesh. He was also the Partner & Production Director of Ektaar Music from 2001–2005. Later, he received an invitation from the National Skill Development Authority (NSDA) which is a Bangladesh government agency under the Prime Minister's Office responsible for developing policies to build a skilled force for different sectors of labor. In 2020 he started a record label called Loy Records which was launched officially in December 2021 with the prime intention to promote and cultivate young talents of the country whilst encouraging them to find their own path through music so they can represent their country internationally. On 10 December 2021, he started his new journey with his own record label called "Loyy Records"
