Survivor Series, branded as Survivor Series: WarGames since 2022, is a professional wrestling event produced annually since 1987 by WWE, the world's largest professional wrestling promotion. Held in November generally the week of Thanksgiving, it is the second longest-running pay-per-view (PPV) event in history, behind WWE's flagship event, WrestleMania. In addition to traditional PPV since 1987, the event has aired on the livestreaming services WWE Network since 2014 and Peacock since 2021. Punia is the only Indian wrestler to win 4 medals at the World Wrestling Championships. He is one of the leaders of the ongoing 2023 Indian wrestlers' protest against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Vinesh Phogat is an Indian wrestler. She became the first Indian woman wrestler to win a gold at both the Commonwealth and Asian Games. She is the only Indian woman wrestler to win multiple medals at the World Wrestling Championships. Phogat became the first Indian athlete to be nominated for the Laureus World Sports Awards in 2019.
Sakshi Malik is an Indian freestyle wrestler. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she won the bronze medal in the 58 kg category, becoming the first Indian female wrestler to win a medal at the Olympics. She is a part of the JSW Sports Excellence Program, along with fellow female wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat.
Hassan Yazdani Charati is an Iranian freestyle wrestler. Yazdani is an Olympic and World Champion in freestyle wrestling in two weight categories. He became Olympic champion in the 74kg category at the 2016 Summer Olympics after defeating Russian wrestler Aniuar Geduev in the final. The following year he became World Champion at the 2017 World Wrestling Championships in the Men's freestyle 86 kg category. He won his second world title at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in Kazakhstan and the third one at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships in Norway.
Meerim Zhumanazarova is a Kyrgyzstani freestyle wrestler. She holds the title of Master of Sport of International Class in Kyrgyzstan. She won a bronze medal in the women's 68 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She also won the gold medal in the same event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships in Oslo, Norway.
Naib Subedar Deepak Punia, is an Indian freestyle wrestler and Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Indian Army who won a silver medal at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in the freestyle 86 kg category and secured a place in the 2020 Summer Olympics. He was born in Jhajjar district, Haryana. He is the reigning Commonwealth champion in his weight category. He bagged a gold medal at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games after beating Pakistan's Muhammad Inam in the 86kg final bout.
Zhamila Bakbergenova is a Kazakhstani freestyle wrestler. She is a three-time medalist in the women's 72 kg event at the World Wrestling Championships. She is a five-time medalist, including three gold medals, at the Asian Wrestling Championships. She is also a two-time medalist at the Islamic Solidarity Games.
Uzur Dzhuzupbekov is a Kyrgyzstani Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the gold medal in the men's 97 kg event at the 2019 Asian Wrestling Championships held in Xi'an, China. He is also a bronze medalist at the Asian Games and a two-time silver medalist at the Islamic Solidarity Games. He represented Kyrgyzstan at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
