The Millau Viaduct is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the gorge valley of the Tarn near Millau in southern France. In a Franco-British partnership, it was designed by the English architect Lord Norman Foster and French structural engineer Michel Virlogeux. As of November 2018, it is the tallest bridge in the world, having a structural height of 343 metres (1,125 ft).
The Europa Bridge or Bridge of Europe (Europabrücke) is a 777-metre-long (2,549 ft) bridge carrying the A13 Brenner Autobahn over the 657-metre (2,156 ft) Wipp valley just south of Innsbruck, Tyrol, Austria. The bridge spans the Sill River, and forms part of the main route across the Alps from western Austria to South Tyrol in Italy. It is also part of the main route between southeastern Germany and northern Italy.

It is located between the municipalities of Concordia in Sinaloa and Pueblo Nuevo in Durango, along the Durango–Mazatlán highway, Mexico 40D. The bridge has a total length of 1,124 m (3,688 ft), with a central cable-stayed span of 520 m (1,710 ft). With the road deck at 403 m (1,322 ft) above the valley below, the Baluarte Bridge is the third-highest cable-stayed bridge in the world, the seventh-highest bridge overall and the highest bridge in the Americas.
Liuguanghe Bridge is a 305 metre high beam bridge at Liu Guangzhen, Guizhou, China. It held the record for world's highest bridge between 2001 and 2003, surpassing the 72-year-old 291 m (955 ft) high Royal Gorge Bridge, until the opening of the 366 m (1,201 ft) Beipan River Guanxing Highway Bridge. As of 2011, it is still the highest beam bridge and is among the twenty highest bridges in the world.
Xisha Bridge is a 217 metre high arch bridge near the city of Lianghezhen, Chongqing China. The main ribs are composed of concrete filled steel tubes. The span is the highest through arch in the world. The bridge crosses the Xisha River, a tributary of the larger Apeng River (Apengjiang). The bridge is located on G65 Baotou–Maoming Expressway which has several other bridges over 200 meters high including the Aizhai Bridge and the Wulingshan Bridge.
The Wushan Yangtze River Bridge is an arch bridge, which carries S301 Provincial Road across the Yangtze River near Wushan, Chongqing, China. Completed in 2005, the 130 metres (430 ft) high arch spans 460 metres (1,510 ft) ranking it in the top ten longest arch bridges in the world. The bridge is also among the highest in the world however, the reservoir created by the construction of the Three Gorges Dam has increased the height of the water below the bridge, and the full 180 metres (590 ft) clearance is no longer visible.
The Daning River Bridge is an arch bridge near Wushan, Chongqing, China. The bridge opened in 2009 carrying traffic on the G42 Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway across the Daning River. The bridge spans 400 metres (1,300 ft) making it one of the longest arch bridges in the world. The bridge is also among the highest in the world however the reservoir created by the construction of the Three Gorges Dam has increased the height of the river below the bridge and the full 219 metres (719 ft) clearance is no longer visible.
Xixi Bridge is a 701 metres (2,300 ft) long suspension bridge on the border of Dafang County and Qianxi County in Guizhou, China. The bridge forms part of China National Highway 321 between Bijie and Guiyang. As of 2012, it is among the forty highest bridges in the world sitting 218 metres (715 ft) above the natural river level. The reservoir from the Hongjiadu Dam on the Liuchong River extends below the bridge and when full, it reduces the clearance below the bridge to 165 metres (541 ft).
The Luojiao River Bridge is a 268 metres (879 ft) long suspension bridge in the Dafang County of Guizhou, China. The bridge forms part of China National Highway 321 between Bijie and Guiyang. As of 2012, it is among the highest bridges in the world sitting 183 metres (600 ft) above the natural river level. Three other high bridges sit along the stretch of highway between Bijie and Guiyang: the Liuguanghe Bridge, the Xixi Bridge, and the Wuxi Bridge. Construction of a dam on the river, downstream of the bridge has created a reservoir which extends under the bridge. At full pool level the clearance below the bridge is reduced to 146 metres (479 ft).
The Hutiao River Viaduct is a prestressed concrete box girder bridge on the border of Pan County and Pu'an County in Guizhou, China. The bridge is 1,958 metres (6,424 ft) and forms part of the G60 Shanghai–Kunming Expressway. It stands at a height of 209 metres (686 ft) above the river, placing it amongst the highest bridges in the world.
The Guozigou Bridge or Talki Bridge is a cable stayed bridge with a main span of 360 metres (1,180 ft). The bridge was opened in 2011 forms part of G30 Lianyungang–Khorgas Expressway in Huocheng County, Xinjiang. The bridge forms part of a spiral crossing over the expressway 180 metres (590 ft) below. The bridge and associated spiral allow for navigatable gradients.
The Yachi River Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge in Guizhou, China. The bridge is the fourth highest in the world. It is also one of the longest cable-stayed bridges with a main span of 800 m (2,600 ft). The western tower is 258.2 m (847 ft) placing it amongst the tallest bridges in the world. The eastern tower is 243.2 m (798 ft). The bridge crosses the Yachi River between Qianxi County in Bijie and Qingzhen in Guiyang. The bridge carries traffic on the Guiyang to Qianxi Expressway.
