This is a list of former channels on XM Satellite Radio, in addition to information on format changes of existing channels. Also included is information on temporary channels and seasonal channels.
These actions took place before November 12, 2008, the merger of the Sirius and XM channel lineups.

These channels are season- and holiday-based, and are only around for a part of the year. It is not uncommon that they take the place of an existing channel. As of 2014 [update] , Sirius XM has reduced the periods that some of the holiday channels run for the 2015 season with only Holly and Holiday Traditions running for the full season (day after Halloween to day after Christmas.)

On 2008-04-30, the XM channels were no longer offered on AOL Radio, [5] as AOL switched to CBS Radio for some of its content, thus ending a partnership between AOL and XM.

XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. (XM) was one of the three satellite radio (SDARS) and online radio services in the United States and Canada, operated by Sirius XM Holdings. It provided pay-for-service radio, analogous to subscription cable television. Its service included 73 different music channels, 39 news, sports, talk and entertainment channels, 21 regional traffic and weather channels, and 23 play-by-play sports channels. XM channels were identified by Arbitron with the label "XM".
Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. was a satellite radio (SDARS) and online radio service operating in North America, owned by Sirius XM Holdings.
Faction Talk is a subscription-based channel on the satellite radio service Sirius XM Radio. The channel first aired on XM on August 6, 2004, as xL High Voltage in preparation for the launch of the American radio show Opie and Anthony several months later, and required subscribers to purchase the channel as a premium, until 2005.
Top 20 on 20 was a commercial-free, interactive hit music satellite radio station. It was on channel 3 on Sirius XM Radio. The channel played everything new from rock to rap, with the songs chosen by online votes to the XM website. One could also vote their favorite songs by calling the station number (866-553-2020), or text messaging, Sirius XM Love moved from Sirius 3, XM 23 and Dish Network 6003 to Sirius XM Radio 17 and Dish Network 6017 as part of the May 4 channel lineup.
Pop2K is a commercial-free all-2000s radio station that is broadcast on Sirius XM Radio. It is located on channel 10, and Dish Network 6010 and 099-10. It plays a range of top 40 hits from 2000 to 2009. Originally, some music would come from the late 1990s. The channel is also used for XM's annual pop music chronology, IT. Starting in late 2009, the station started to play more deeper cuts and not the popular hits from the decade, to give it a more or less nostalgic flavor that the decades stations have. By 2010, no new 2010s music has been played unless it is left over from 2009, making it a 2000s-only station. By December 18, 2009, Mediabase ceased reporting the channel's playlist.
Oprah Radio was a talk radio channel programmed by Harpo Productions' radio division, and was signed exclusively for Sirius XM Satellite Radio. The channel left satellite radio on December 31, 2014.
Diplo's Revolution is a global-centric electronic dance music satellite channel operated by Sirius XM Radio, broadcasting on Sirius Satellite Radio channel 52, XM Satellite Radio channel 52 and Dish Network channel 6052.
Symphony Hall is a Sirius XM Radio station featuring exclusively classical music. It is located on Sirius XM Radio channel 78 and DISH Network channel 6076. Originally Sirius only, it was merged with the XM Classics channel on November 12, 2008.
Nashville! was a commercial radio channel on XM Satellite Radio. It was located on XM 57(previously 11) and plays a wide range of country music hits from the early 1990s through today. The channel was programmed out of Cincinnati, Ohio. Advertising sales are handled by Premiere Radio Networks. It was programmed by Kent Terry.
CineMagic is an Internet-only channel on Sirius XM radio, accessible via computers and mobile devices. Before July 1, 2011, the channel had its own XM satellite radio bandwidth in addition to the online channel. It is devoted to film scores, source music, and dialogue from movie soundtracks. Dave Ziemer was the channel's founder and its programming director from February 2001 to February 14, 2013, when he was laid off. Chris Panico served as CineMagic' s music director from November 2004 to November 2008, when he was laid off. Paul Bachmann is the channel's current host.
SiriusXMU is an indie pop, indie rock, unsigned artist music channel on XM Satellite Radio channel 35.
Real Jazz is a Sirius XM Satellite Radio station devoted to traditional jazz, contemporary jazz and bebop music. It can be heard on XM channel 67, Sirius channel 67 and Dish Network channel 6072. Until February 9, 2010, it was heard on DirecTV channel 850. The program director is Mark Ruffin; former PD Maxx Myrick is still heard as an on-air personality.
Caliente is Sirius XM Radio's Tropical music channel, playing Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Reggaeton. It is available on 158, and previously channel 85 on XM) and on Dish Network channel 6095, Until February 9, 2010, it was heard on DirecTV channel 869, but all of the Sirius XM music channels were dropped in favor of Sonic Tap by DMX. Prior to the Sirius/XM merger, Caliente was on XM channel 94, This channel was on Sirius XM Radio 69 and Dish Network 6069 when Escape was online, On November 12, 2015, Escape returned to Sirius XM Radio 69 and Dish Network 6069 and Caliente returned to the Latin lineup.
SiriusXM Progress is located at channel 127 on Sirius XM Radio and carries a progressive talk radio format. The channel is programmed by Don Wicklin.
Caricia is an Internet radio station on Sirius XM Radio channel 762. Their format focuses on love ballads spanning from the 1950s to the 1980s in both English and Spanish.
Escape is a Sirius XM Satellite Radio music channel, available on XM channel 149, Sirius channel 149 and DISH Network channel 6069, as well as online and via a mobile app.
Sirius XM Pops is a Sirius XM Satellite Radio online station devoted to popular classical music. It was formerly available on XM channel 75, Sirius channel 75. Until February 9, 2010, it was heard on Direct TV channel 866. Preston Trombly, Paul Bachmann, Vincent Caruso, Martin Goldsmith, Carol Ford and Lauren Rico were the channel's principal on-air voices.
SiriusXM Patriot is a conservative talk radio channel on Sirius Satellite Radio channel 125 and XM Satellite Radio channel 125. The channel features exclusive hosts such as Cam & Company from NRANews, David Webb, and Andrew Wilkow. It also features popular syndicated programs including Sean Hannity and Mark Levin. The station is the result of a merger between former channels SIRIUS Patriot and America Right. Hourly news updates are produced by Townhall.
The Bridge is on Sirius XM Radio channel 27 and Dish Network 6032. It is devoted to gold-based soft rock and adult contemporary music. The channel is programmed by Mary Sue Twohy. The channel plays mainly 1970s acts, such as Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Carole King, Jackson Browne, Elton John, Jim Croce, the Eagles, America, and Billy Joel, along with some later 1980s and 1990s artists like Sting, Bonnie Raitt, and others. It was basically the 1960s and 1970s counterpart of the former StarLite channel for the Sirius service before the Sirius/XM merger replaced StarLite with The Blend.
